No ETA on fixing issues? Standard Microsoft practice, nothing to see here..
La la la...delayed updates.....la la la ...... Fragmentation.....la la la....favoritism towards one vendor.
Don't look at ME...look at the issue
I just got a lumia 610 .I hope that Microsoft and Nokia will solve the problem soon.
frogtech, 08 Mar 2013Nokia is another classic example how the tech giant falls. Microsoft can't save you, Nokia... morewindows can be better than android if microsoft will guarantee that the devices running now on wp 8 will receive updates for the future new wp 9,10 versions like apple did with iphone 3gs wich passed from ios 3 to ios 6 in the last three years. respect apple. AND MICROSOFT MUST PAY TO POPULATE THE APP STORE QUICKLY. i am terminal tester for orange romania andi use all the platforms, i have a mobile maximum 2 weeks and i can say that after ios, wp8 is on the 2nd place. android is versatile, free, but very hard to use for many people wich activate in other domains than i.t. like doctors, lawyers. here we are a bunch of geeks, but keep in mind that 70% of the smartphone users want very simple menus. the success of iphone range lays in its simplicity and beauty. very few need the twisted android
Nokia is another classic example how the tech giant falls.
Microsoft can't save you, Nokia.
Only you, Nokia can save yourself.
The only way to continue surviving in today's smrtphone competitive landscape is by joining Android OS and at the same time improve your hardware in every 6 months with the most cutting edge and revolutionary features.
It's a shame to stop the updates without thinking about the impact this will have. Nokia hopefully not take long to fix the problems because otherwise it will lose much market.

Nokia still there is time .. leave ur ego, be shameful and go for android. Ditch this stupid MS, they are greedy people .. they take all ur technology like music, drive, maps and then release their own phone into the market. That is what MS is aiming for.
Better the board of members first kick that bas..tard ELOP, he is a Microsoft's bitchh and appoint a new CEO please.
I don want to see this company dying.
blueglue, 08 Mar 2013- Is the 7.8 upgrade applicable to devices like HTC titan , Samsung Omnia W or exclusive to No... moreWP 7.8 can be updated (using cable trick method - you get access to Microsoft servers or by flashing custom WP7.8 ROMs) on any WP7.5 phones. You can google and decide which method you want to do.
This is greed at its finest, or worst. Companies don't care about the users. They just want upgrades, upgrades, upgrades.
Their motto is...get rid of that old junk and upgrade. Or keep waiting for a year or more for an update.
- Is the 7.8 upgrade applicable to devices like HTC titan , Samsung Omnia W or exclusive to Nokia ?
