who said that w980i didn't has a sound chip????
it has clear audio chip ok!!!! and w902 has it too...
this chip makes SE now the best in sound's quality in music phone... even samsung i450(music phone that has the best sound's quality) can't beat this phone!!!!

Who the hell are these EISA guys? just some dudes paid to choose the phone they like and than automatically everyone is supposed to be like yea man that phone is amazing? people like us who actually have experience should vote and than a winner should be decided....you know funny thing that we actually do vote....

Nokia Baby! the N95's been no1 phone for like more than a year and just when you though it could't get better the N82 hit no2!! and in brands by internet nokia been 1 for ages only in rating their not no1 but on the rest top baby!! funny if the W980 is such a amazing phone it would be somewhere.....nokia are still in the game baby....others don get too exited cause its the first tiem you've actually been ahead of nokia in announcement but everythings got it ups and downs and nokia phones are still amazing.....later homies keep chillin

The EISA Award is really bias as far as the W980 goes. Come on people, it doesn't have 3.5mm jack, no sound chip... Then how come it can santch the best music phone award!!! Point to ponder... Samsung i450 or Nokia 5310 would be better choice. Any ways Well done Sammy and Good HTC

People post comments here disliking other brands for what reasons? Have you guys tried all those mobile phones that EISA reviewed?

If you prefer a brand then stick to it, don't go bashing other groups or brands just because you have your preferred [brand].

I think those reivewers are wrong. Only the Smartphone award was OK, the HTC Touch Diamond definitely deserves it. Maybe the G810 deserves it too because it's the only GSM smartphone with 5mp camera, xenon flash and optical zoom, but the music phone award fpr a Sony Ericsson?? It would be fine if it had a 3.5mm jack without any adaptor or a dedicated sound chip, but the absence of both things makes it an inferior phone. There are lots of better music handsets like iPhone, N81, lots of Samsungs, LGs, etc etc. The desing is wonderful but its music capabilities are just OK, not great.

No matter what, Siemens SX1 is still the best music smartphone in my heart, especially its unique design n stereo sound. Motorola ZN5 is the best camera phone at the moment, its photo quality is better than C902 n N82. The both former mobile giants rulesss...

Nokia seems to have lost it in the styling department, Se do make the best music phones fact, best camera fact! Omnia might have won if it had touch-flo still a great phone.
