I have been an 8800 owner since the original came out all those years ago. I purchased the 8800 arte sapphire for almost 1700 USD when it came out (felt like I got a heck of a good deal) and have had a string of bad luck with it. I think it's just a fluke though. Have been overall pleased with the rest of the line though.

I am looking forward to purchasing this "carbon" copy once it becomes available.

In answer to the ney-sayers commenting on this phone. True, the specs are not in any way impressive, however, I have other gadgets which take care of all my other needs besides calling. That's what digital cameras, IPods, E71s, etc. are for. This is a status symbol. No more, no less.

I will admit, I realize that the price is hefty, but for the admiration among my peers, the price tag is worth it. I figure if I have the money to spend, why not? It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for the ones who admire such uniqueness, such as myself, please don't rain on our parade.

I see wealth envy is alive and everywhere, even in the mobile phone space. Nokia bashers suffer from delusions of grandeur. If you don't like the phone, just go and buy what you like. No one is holding a gun to your head to buy the phone.

However in most cases, I can hazard to say over 90% of the people bashing the phone simply can't afford it, thus by bashing it they feel good about the fact that they are fiancially challenged. This phone has a target market in place who will buy the phone without blinking and freting about specs. Ok!!!

I have criticized most of the nokia phones in past but this one is amazing. But sadly people who can't afford it are saying it ridiculous.

Nokia are doing the same mistake they seem to do all the time to rip customers off and it's working so they have no reason to stop ripping people off as long as there making money for example.

N95 & N95 8gb verson complately identical except for the screen size and the internal memory, what will they bring out next Maybe the Nokia N95 16gb version????

Nokia 8800 and 8800 sorocco Identical again and looks the same from a distance

Nokia Sorocco Arte & Nokia Arte: Again identical but looks 95% identical.

I could go on forever but I won't, Nokia need to bring something out and stop bringing out handsets that are identical to the ones they have already made.

Nokia are boring me unless they bring some sort of killer phone out which does something totally different and then I might change my opinion towards Nokia but can't really see that happening
