Well, good job keeping the S2 updates alive for 2 years Samsung. It fits the 18 months update policy of Google. S2 *can* probably run 5.0 but not with TouchWiz. The same reason the S1 didn't get ICS but Nexus S did. If you want higher updates, root and flash a custom ROM.

So the note comes out about a year ago(?) and they drop support? That is pretty low, Note owners help Samsung prove there is a market for phablets and they are rewarded by being dropped from any latest updates.... Grand.

If you're unhappy with this you can always move to CyanogenMod which always follows the latest version.

Any timeframe on the SII JB update in the UK ???

Been expected it "In March" for ages. My ICS SII is pretty unstable, starting to get a little annoyed of having to reset it when it keeps freezing.

They get the 7.8 update which houses the same features except for the support for the memory card since they don't have card slots. Haha

Feel sorry for s2+ owners thinking a new device would be supported longer but 4.1.2 -4.2.2 and thats it?! Glad the 9100 will get one final update, that phone and the note helped make samsung what they are today, the market leaders. I'll probably have another samsung unless the next nexus is as competitively priced as the nexus 4 but without the availability problems.

All the people that are complaining about updates stopping, you guys do realise that the phone won't suddenly stop working just because it's not on the latest version of Android right?
