I bought the xperia z a few days ago and believe me its better than any phone out there. I havent had any issues and its not the only Sony phone that we use in my family. I have got the xperia Z and S, the others in my family have the xperia P, xperia T, xperia U, xperia J and the xperia V and believe me we have never had any problems woth our SONY products.
We love you SONY
Bradles, 21 Mar 2013Name one other Sony phone that has sudden death? Ive got a Z my self and I haven't had this ha... moreWell, I can think of a few recent ones with issues (Xperia S burned screens, Minis overheating, Sola had digitizer issues, ...)
Having a phone plainly die is even more serious than the others, but let's not kid ourselves into thinking:
1) The others weren't really serious.
2) This is the first entry in the list of serious issues in Sony phones.
Sony doesn't fail any less than the other manufacturers, and despite all their fans convictions, Sony is only better at *perceived* quality -- not actual quality.
Nokia also suffer same problem, switch off even when battery still full.
Apple with connectivity problems (3G)
Samsung Galaxy SIII experiencing sudden death after couple of months.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini ST15i with their button flickering.
And now Sony Xperia Z with sudden death.
So... No more tests before release it to the market?
Run more tests before release it to market please...
Hehe.... Now smartphones are getting seizures...heart failures.... Well a phone like that needed a constant supply of water... Neptune is currently using one with no problems, you should think of relocating... :P
truefan, 21 Mar 2013you are a liar, apple never fails or have issues either hardware or software.cough* troll cough*
jaypee1991, 21 Mar 2013sony always have sudden death... SAMSUNG forever!!!!Name one other Sony phone that has sudden death? Ive got a Z my self and I haven't had this happen yet. My other half has a S3 mini and its happend a few times to her.
I hope mobile phone manufactures don't fudge Quality in favour of Quantity especially over the sudden death issue.
I don't see a big problem. Ipad 4 is rebooting for no reason. I am sure a software update can fix it.
TheMan, 21 Mar 2013Nice story, did you write by yourself because its totally fake.
Note II is a solid phone.Actually, i am having a similar issue with the note 2.
Check my posts on the note 2 page if you don't believe me (under Bunyip or Bunyip22).
Yup its true in few cases...... but its not only in Xperia Z.... this problem first was faced in iphone 4s and then samsung note 1 and s3 etc........ its bcz they are fitting too much technology in one handset... and the phone cant bare it.....logically..... its happening in quad core processor phones usually..... and these phones heat up for no reason.... so thats something thats need to be fixed in all the newest and smartest phones......
I have a similar problem with the note 2. It will all of a sudden freeze and then reset.
Sometimes it wont happen for a few days and other days it will happen 4-5 days.
For anyone who doesn't believe me, check my posts over on the note 2 page...
That said, i have had the note 2 for 4-5 months and LOVE IT!!
ps i do wonder sometimes if it is the firmware.
pps, i didn't have a problem for the first 3-4 months... it has only been the last few weeks.
I've has similar issues with my nokia n8.... twice.. it actually depends on faulty memory(i.e. hardware) rather than software..
Oh, so much for a month old "premium" $900+ (for early buyers). The Xperia Z simply just looks good. That's about it.
My Xperia Z is only 2 weeks Old so I guessed I am not yet safe. But it's only one of 4 Xperia currently in our home. We have Xperia Z, U, Tipo and Mini. Nothing wrong with any of these, add the Xperia Pro I used for almost a year, never failed or hang or freeze. Whatever it is that it's wrong with Sony it is not hardware quality.
