when i got my first one it was freezing from the first day. but then later i observed that this freezing started after restoring my backup app from my previous smartphone. then i started seeing a pattern, whenever i receive a sms and when GO sms pops up, then the Xperia Z freezes. After 3 days i went to exchange it. The new one worked correctly until i installed GO sms, then it started freezing when the pop up appears. i uninstalled GO sms and the freezing is gone!!!

I've just bought the Z after getting hacked off with my SII. It was going fine until the firmware update which has put me right off. the issue being texting (silly I know but...) I prefer the "old syle" texting not the qwerty keypad, and after the update, the ability to turn off predictive text or add a word disappeared, so I bought a Z instead as this has the ability to turn off predictive text on the face withough going into settings all the time.

My question is, the Z now needs the update, if I do it, will the button to turn off predictive text disappear from the screen (the button to the left of the GHI)??

I know that it sounds really pathetic, but that's why I bought this phone.

Any help would be gratefully received.

my xperia z keeps turning the wifi off even though im near to router?? also brighness keeps turning down all by itself? whats wrong with this anyone know? thank you.

Hi..
Even though i updated my xperia z with the new update given for sudden death issue, it doesn't fix the problem. Rather my phone gets struck more frequently. Can anyone help me out the reason for this issue. Does installing some applications cause the malfunctioning of the phone, but i didn't install any such malicious apps.

Xperia Z is by far the best handset I have ever used. But it came with many faults and problems causing my experience with Sony to be not one of the best. My Xperia Z has overheating issue, screen lag, death screen and currently the icons in the home screen do not respond to touch due to incorrect touch calibration unless I did a factory reset everytime it happens.

I had a lot of expectations regarding the Sony Xperia Z Smartphone, but the first problema I encountered was that of the camera. It does take photos, but when it comes to shooting, well that a very different thing cuz it always sends an error message. It is impossible for me to film anything, any time. That function is definitely bad. It really sux. Tried everything even Factory settings, but the camera does not shoot vids AT ALL. Also after a while the Phone is very hot and drains the battery very quickly. If any one of you knows how to fix these problems, please, HELP!!

i had my xperia z 3 days ago.. i notice that my phone heated up fast and my Baterry Runs out very fast as it was from 90% then after 30-45 min without using it much the battery turns to 60% ..then my widgets starts to corrupt .. i cant open and drag them to my screen and also all my widgets in my homescreen too .. So i started to think how to fix it using Sony Update Service .. I've done the factory reset and update the phone to its to new firmware to fix the Sudden issue and now my Z works fine .. and it overheats not that much before ..

Even I am facing the same problem and it was worrying me that there is something wrong particularly with my handset. While charging the back gets heated up and the battery drains like hell while using any of the applications. It goes down with the speed of almost 1% in 1 minute. Any suggestions if this is normal or we gotta live with it ?

I have bought my xperia z just this sunday phone is good but the major problem here for me is the wifi signal HELL my X8 wifi signal is 3 times stronger then my xperia z?? wifi keeps getting cut off even though I am al most near at the router, Then nex major issue with xperia z for me is that when the phone is juiced out an you plug in the wall charger it will not charge the only way to charge this phone is by waiting for the phone to turn on and then you charge which is a bad way of charging. One last thing is the xperia team is not doing anything they dont even want to admit the faulty structures of the phone, I just bought this last sunday and I have to use the warranty already???????? what a GREAT FLAGSHIP XPERIA Z is,

two days using sony xperia Z and I love it's since 2007 I only used iphones I was disappointing with the iphone 5 so I decided on another phone and this is better than the iphone I love it I just want to install apps on the SD card but I don't know how anyone knows?

Experia V users continue to experience the SoD issue; in fact, it is more commonly reported than any other current models offered. First reported cases were back in Dec. 2012, approx. 4 months ago, and a fix has yet to be offered. At this point, the V is nothing more than a €500 paper-weight.

I'm a regular user of SONY..m an Xperian for more than 3 yrs now..
I was very excited about Xperia Z..n I bought it..
m very disappointed with d 'SUDDEN DEATH' issue in it..
I've updated the software 4 times with the build number "10.1.A.1.434" but the issue didn't get resolved.
my cell goes dark..no response @ all..
wat shud i do..??
if Sony doesnt solve dis..Xperia Z might b my last device from 'Sony' in any category.

I got the same problem, battery just get very low in a very short time, it working really well when I just bought it and this just happen few days ago which is really annoying and I don't want to change another phone again....T_T....
