> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-03-23 18:16 from 04V1 - click to readNo, don't worry about it, sod affects so few phones and strikes so early in the phones lifetime that the chance to get it on a phone that previously had no issues is microscopic. I'm not gonna bother with this, I get it when I get it and no rush.

i have an xperia z, and unluckily mine got frozen just when i was about to update it. I thought i've lost the phone. then, when i plugged the charger, the screen came back on, but it was still frozen. I push down all 3 buttons (power, volume up and down) simultaneously for a few seconds, and the phone restarted and is operating normally.

Xz is always out of stock in Philippines, its not yet officially released here but some stores that sells it always runs out of stock. Sony ph is a good market for you, Filipino community supports Japanese products. Release it here asap.

> In reply to Aparadectos @ 2013-03-23 11:10 from 6jq5 - click to readOf course they will react with this in a short period of time coz.it is really ridiculous to have a 2day old phone having such issue! Cmon, if sony ddnt respond that quick then they wil los der customers anyway accdg to some sources, Sony still dont knlw whats wrong so it is not grantee that this update will fix everything,. and death issue isnt d only concern visit talk.sonymobile.com and vsit z/zl forums there are lots of software and hardware bugs and many are complaining that they paid bucks just to have a very faulty ought-to-be flagshipsmartphone.. many are now consdering selling it and will go to another brand..

as for ur statement abt gaming yah these flagships myt not have dffrnces but in display ull get more beautiful experience w/ super lcd3 and fhd super amoled than this wash out tft dsplay of sony.. poor viewing angles exist-oops in gaming there are times you tilt ur phone so viewing angle is a must.

as i read the forums there are noticeqble lags on the homescreen and that irritates the users. they can just get out with it by using launchers but at that moment they cant use the elegant UI of sony

speakers
call quality
camera bugs
battery
stamina mode

ull see so many problems abt these things. read forums or threads

WoW!!
Hats off to Sony!! This must be the fastest fix ever!!
I got this beauty and i an emjoying it a few weeks now,
a couple of days ago though, i red the viral news about the sudden death bug
(i bet it mostly affects the Phillipino devices again)
I assumed that Sony will include the fix within the 4.2 update they are planning to give us by the end of the month, but no, just because the virality of the sudden death news, they have responded immediately!!
I feel so privileged right now, not even Samsung would react so fast!!
This a brilliant phone and there is no game or app, that any of S4 or One can run better, for anyone rating the premioum feel more than benchmarks, dont hesitate, the only doubt was the support by Sony, but this update prooves how serious they are with this!!

Hi

I bought an Xperia Z and it had 3 Dead Pixels, the replacement unit had 2. So I wanted to know if this is a common problem? I've since taken a full cash refund - well a "credit" refund. I like this phone but want to know if these are teething problems or part of something bigger

Thanks
anup
