According to the Sony Blogger, they still don't know what the issue is. Update will probably not fix the sod. Same issue with the V, and T.

The way Sony works lately makes me happy. And this comes from a person pre-ordering the SGS4. I think Sony is headed straight for top 3 smartphone manufacturers.

Xperia Z is a really good phone but the camera quality is not its strong point. Cameras from the iphone and galaxy series are better but the difference in quality is not that noticeable . If you are an adventurous guy who would need a waterproof phone then go for it or else you can wait for the HTC One or Samsung Galaxy S4. They have everything better than the Z except for their design which is again subjective.

I actually own an xperia Z no sudden death issues at all.

Apparently it only affects thee LTE versions and even then only rooted versions so if you don't root your phone you should be fine.

Start from the designee you can see the richness , it's not plastic! Balanced camera result for ordinary usage. Waterproof and Dust proof is exceptional in Higher Smart Phone.
5" 1080p display with lovely bravia for images and Videos. And It has reasonable performance with Quad cores it will do any mobile task unless you wanna play crisis in the the Mobile.
Certainly Best out there. ;)

I went to s3 from iPhone 4S and the experience was terrible. I went back to iPhone 5 shortly after. However I have ditched my iPhone 5 for a xperia z I am very satirised. You will holding a premium product.

Yes it does seem like a bigger iPhone 4 with front and back glass panels but its definitely a win over som cheap plastic with some hyper glaze coating. Lol.

And I'd just like to state I'm not trolling nor am I any fanboy. Just stating the facts.

Many new phone have teething troubles, so long as they are being dealt with (as Sony are) should be ok.
It is still one of the best spec phones on the market and I will be getting one at the end of the month.

Don't like to root my phone at the risk of bricking my phone. My sxz don't suffer from.sudden daeath. It!s beautiful and fluid as I got it. Battery life is improving everyday. So no regrets purchasng it. Display is sharp unlike some reviews.
