> In reply to nob @ 2008-08-26 16:17 from u544 - click to readthe only thing that i make of is that the N85 is meant to be a successor of the N81 and since N91 is already taken they made N85 because i think the N83 will be of N73 decent even though we already have N82, N78 and N79 loll but maybe it might share the N73 successorship with them, i just bougth a N78 and i'm loving it! i used to have N73 around a year ago and i've been using N95 8GB since and i love the upgrades, the FM transmitter, FP2 and the looks and size are great!

Now it is official: N85 is the stepchild from the marriage between N81 and N96. Of course it is similar to both of them. Probably more similar to the 'Dad' (N96)
As for N79, it is definitely a mutant version of N82...
So, what else is new? NOTHING!!
Moving on please... Sigh...

> In reply to nob @ 2008-08-26 16:17 from u544 - click to readback in 2006, NOKIA N95 was supposed to bear the "NOKIA N83" index. but nokia decided to change it to N95 in the last minute of official announcement. so there will be no more N83 now as N95 was what supposed to be N83.

hey guys, I just want to ask with the release of the N85 and all, where did the N83 go? I know that Nokia only disses the number 4 because of superstition. But why did they skip number 83? Thanks for the help. :)

the most criticized mobile phone brand in the world is also the best-selling mobile phone brand - NOKIA. most people will love it than hate it. :)

> In reply to jj @ 2008-08-26 15:02 from PV$3 - click to readNokia has a wide range of designs. It's a sign of continuity that their latest N-range phones look similar.

Is it boring? Perhaps, but they still sell in the numbers that SE could only dream about, so Nokia must be doing something right, yes?

Nothing new.. ok, iPhone 3g was "nothing new" too :)
For me N82 is very fat, N78 has not comfortable (for me with my 6233) keys. I think N79 will be ok.

GUYS, there is nothing wrong with NOKIA. but there's something wrong with YOU!!! you keep on complaining about something you DON'T understand. NOKIA N85 is NOKIA N85 and the features it's got are how they should be! N85 is not the successor of N95 or N96 so understandably it won't have a 8MP camera nor a touch screen display! N85 is the successor of N81. and the features are just right for it. N81 is the best music phone with gaming functions but is deprived of good camera and lacks other goodies. now, NOKIA N85, fills in what N81 is lacking. AGAIN, N85 IS THE SUCCESSOR OF N81!!! so stop, complaining. you all are barking at the wrong tree.

Let me get this straight... 5mp camera, wifi, real gps (not google maps), vga 30fps video and a 3.5mm audio jack is boring?? to me it seems like everyone is used to Nokia making top of the line phones that have high specs. every manufacturer makes the same phone with different outer shell, how else will you appeal to everyone?? For all those that are complaining about not having a 8mp camera I wouldn't be surprised if nokia comes out with and 8mp camera that records at 1080p.
