just to add. megapixel count is not only for zooming and full viewing on monitors, its about PRINTING the pictures! a 5MP is only good for max printing for 8" x 6". (which is not advisable for a 5mp camera phone since jpeg artifacts can be seen at that size)

both phones can't beat n82. N82 got xenon flash and nokia has not given xenon flash in both n85 and n79. And n79 looks like n77 and same technolgy of n78 only camera upgrade and cheap plastic body color to attract people. n85 looks goods but same as n81,n96 and n95. same slider design waste of money. New thing in n85 is usb charging and oled display which can't beat n82 both are 5 megapixel but xenon flash is best flash which has been used in camera phoes and digital cameras.

to nokia fanatics insisting arguing the lens thing and not the megapixel count:

how can you explain the fact that samsung INNOV8 (model i8510) takes great pictures?

it is even on S60 FP2!

well?

> In reply to Kal @ 2008-08-27 09:50 from vwdn - click to readNo! we still don't need the 8 mp , 10 mp cameras. but, need a better lense.
most of us didn't have 30" monitors and rarely anyone goes for the digital screen printing.

for just storing and zooming into the picture , we need better lens which could grasp more amount of light.

all these 8MP and it's successors won't make much difference when u see them in their "actual size".

N85's design is a sure catastrophe, for it's evident that almost nobody is buying N81 because of cheap looking plastic and fingerprints visible on it
