Accompanying the photo were some rumored details on the upcoming device, whose name subtly harks back at the good old days of Nokia N95. The Nokia Lumia 950 is...

Where have you been??? Android is already now running JellyBean! I know you will say there are still android devices running old f/w. But Temple Run can't even run on the old WP7.5 with less than 1GB ram. LOL

It's sad that Windows Phone still doesn't support 1080p. On the laptop side, both Apple and Google machines have higher resolution than any Windows product. Hopefully Windows will lose its relevance there, too.

Windows Phone UI is not bad, just the phones all appear to be rainbow colored plastic bricks. I would loose any respect in a board meeting with a bright yellow phone. If its HTC or Nokia, they all have the same childrens toy look. It would be nice to have a smart looking smart phone other than the iPhone. Androids are for large part... too large. While there is a big market for big screens, there is a big market for smaller devices too (iPhone), it is a shame no one has yet challenged Apple, as they are still on there own. I like my iPhone but competition would be good from any camp.

This is not the EOS/Nokia Lumia 1000 which promises to offer a Pureview 41 MP camera. There is no way Nokia will do a foolish mistake and launch that phone just now which can only kills the markets of its previous flagships. That will be an epic loss in Nokia's Finance department and if it would happen, they will have less shares to make more Lumia 1000 resulting more demand but supply would be less so it will make a lot of customers disappointed with Nokia which Nokia will never like and wants. After all Nokia is the best manufacturer when it comes to customer service. No denying because every one knows.

On the other hand, I am in hopes that the 'successor' Nokia Lumia 1000 will carry lots of new stuff, lots of innovation with it and don't foget some Windows Blue update which is now called Windows 8.1 http://blog.gsmarena.com/windo...windows-8-1/ with it. For much high end hardware like the current Android Flagships hold, I am quiet confident with it. Nokia doesn't need that much hardware on it's board because WP can run on low spec smoothly, properly and lag free.

I ordered Nokia Lumia 920 last week's Tuesday which would arrive yesterday but I cancelled the order because I am waiting for Lumia 928, may be this phone or Lumia 1000 but I swear I will never ever go for Android. Much lag, I can't play temple run 2 on my sister's old Android Gingerbread, even Temple Run along with other low end games lag as well on it. LOL, even Angry Birds have some low fps I experienced often while playing. Therefore, NO for an Android even if it's the Galaxy S4. Although Android is a user friendly OS and holds really good features but I am not switching from my current iPhone 4S to it. Already have every thing in it. It holds every things which my business requires. Hell I got a load of money, I can buy any flagship like nothing but "I think, research, analyze and experience before spending my earnings" therefore, Android is not worth my money. It's just my thing(No offense).

In addition to, Noka 950 is not a copy of Sony or Htc or any other brand here people had described. The news have highlighted, Lumia 950 looks like a Nokia N95. I am sure I don't have to argue over who was before, XZ or N95. It's pretty obcious, if it would be for that then I can say XZ and other brands copies N95's design which I don't because I love XZ design and it's premium looks.

This phone holds a great camera as written in the news which is my only need and want. I often have night meetings on differnt places, cities and parties. I often took pictures to have memories of my good times, it's stupid to carry a DSLR into a party when you are a sole-trader. Will look like you are more of a camera man lol. So I can just take out my Pureview Camera anytime from my pocket and can capture a lot of photos without the worries of the battery will drain and the photos due to low light have bad results. These ae not my worries. Thank you Nokia. Although, it's my view of how I am using my phone. Everybody holds different opinions and their usage is different as compared to mine, may be opposite.

Applications - I don't need a ton of apps in my cell phone. Windoows Phone 8 already holds every core application which any average/extreme user wants. Their application development is increasing day by day and a news here already informed Microsoft Application Store reaches 50,000+ whihc is increasing rapidly since Windows Phone 8 just was launched in 2012 Spetember. Only half a year have been passed and this much progress of a complete new OS. Just pure wow and fantastic.

At the end, Nokia is worth my Money and time. Loving this phone as well. It's color is actually matches the coat which I wear often haha.

Nokia along with Windows Phone is back on business and it's spending the revenue earned from its Windows 8 phones is being spent on the good path which hold victory. Rise of the former king!!

you know what , there is only one thong wrong wit WP, if they give you complete control over the colours of the tiles it would greatly improve their OS and make it more OCD friendly

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-04-03 10:06 from th3e - click to readwhere on earth do you come from, how can you say the WP tile concept is old , the entire idea of having a widget and icon based UI has been there forever and the tile concept is the fist innovating idea we have had in quite a while , and now you say WP8 is old because it uses the same style of UI as 7 , well guess what android has been using the same icon and widget based UI for 6-7 years I think and the concept was already there when they started using it (remember the chatterbox from LG it also used that same icon based UI),the fist mobile phones operated on a icon styled UI now if I work roughly we can say that the icon based UI is about 15-20 years old, if not older and the tile UI about 3 years (WP7 launched in 2010).

You shouldn't need to customise something to that degree to make it look nice. A good OS looks good out of the box
