If you put out an Android phone with less than 1080p, you lose. But this is not Android we're talking about. Windows Phone is about beauty, elegance and fluidity of the UI. People buy Lumia for their beautiful design, fast UI and amazing camera.

Yes iOS is old, windows 8 tiles looks like windows 7 so its starting to become outdated to...

Android... anything is possible.

The reason why they went with Windows Phone was that the competition there was eased off a little, allowing them to easily become leaders in the market. Also, just because it's your opinion doesn't make it more superior to the verdict of qualified, paid professionals who make the decisions that you are against. Remember- many advisors do MORE RESEARCH THAN YOU DO, hard to believe but true in many cases.

If it's true, then it's just an update to the Lumia 920, not the real successor Lumia 1000 which is supposed to have a 41MP Pureview camera.
