iOS 7 behind schedule but will have significantly updated UI - read the full textIt seems the upcoming iOS 7 update is running behind schedule, according to the Daring Fireball. Engineers are now reportedly being pulled from the OS X 10.9 update to work on Apple's mobile operating system. While that may seem like a bummer, there is good news as well. It seems that iOS 7...

Hilarious how apple seems to have to adapt to widgets after all? I wish they would keep their strict mind set. But they know they're going down, and they know they're going down at a fast rate if they don't copy Android.

Oh wait, what?? i thought apple is all about pure innovacation? Are they copying again? No way! That can't be possible. Oh, but it is!

Hope they hit the floor even faster.

iOS will still be pretty lame if they don't implement a lot of jailbreak tweaks, like allowing 5 icons on the dock, scrolling dock, Message.app needs to behave more like BiteSMS with quick replies without having to go into the app, please remove the 12 app limit from folders, etc. There are a ton of jailbreak tweaks that make iOS so nice to use. It's a shame Apple wants to keep it locked down.

Please Apple, the UI is beautiful already. Nothing wrong with it. iOS only needs desktop sreen with widgets, universally Bluetooth file transfers without apps required, file managers, and last but not least a true multitasking. I always got disconnected while waiting for the video streaming to buffer and doing other things like chatting, surf the web pages, or even leave the phone for a while, and that makes me have to restart the video buffer all over from the beginning again. Even Symbian OS far more considerably as smartphone's OS than iOS.

I had an iPhone 4S 64GB which got Wi-Fi toggle to be greyed-out bug issue, and since it got the bug the battery drain from fully charged to shut down by itself in Flight Mode for only 6 hours. I just can't use that phone with that kind of battery draining condition. Went to iPhone service centre (which has different department from iPad servicing), the staff ask SG$350 to replace a new iPhone with the exactly same type & color, as my iPhone 4S is no longer in warranty period. Planned to upgrade to Note II 2 months before it has been released and before my iPhone got the bug, but stutters & oversaturate screen are the dealbreakers for me after I tried 5 different demo units in 3 mobile phone stores, one of it is officially Samsung Store I decided to wait to see what other Android phones might suits my preference, and eversince I saw the news regarding XPERIA Z on GSMA in the beginning of January (CES 2013), I decided to give it a try, and the Water Resistant abilty meets my needs.

And now I can feel it, why Droidfans always say that iPhones are feature phones but not smartphones. But I undoubtly choose iPad as my tablet needs, and plan to get the next generation of iPad Mini if only it will come with Retina Display.

Hope to see big improvements on the next generation of iPhone and iOS 7.

I guess we will see a dynamic homepage, wether in form of widgets, dynamic content (like HTC's new interface) or something between windows phone's tiles and android's widgets.
We'll probably see more customization options IMO.
And of course a cleaner and more modern design.

> In reply to u-m-add @ 2013-04-03 11:27 from ib7G - click to readYes, we do because if now they steal the Holo UI they gonna advertise it as something totally new, innovative and revolutionary. Hell, they may even sue Google and some Android phone manufacturers for stealing their design even before they came with the idea to steal it... But maybe it's not Android, maybe they just copy the Metro/Modern UI.
Either way, if this happens, I will burn down every apple store. iOS and iPhone used to be unique, a leader, inspiration for other developers/manufacturers but lately they've been trying to keep up with the decent smartphones' competition. If they sacrifice this final emblematic detail of their phones, iPhone will become just as a sh*tty smartphone as any other Android phone (except you may do tons of stuff that's impossible on an iPhone even with jailbreak). Of course some may find phones like the Galaxy S4 a disgusting, stomach turning ugly piece of cheap plastic and may find premium build quality more important... Although what tis premium build quality really is: paint chips off, loosing signal all the time, bottom cracks, the only f*cking button on the device gets fubar in a few months, bottom breaks way too easily, etc... real hallmarks of a premium brand and premium build quality.
