Murtaza, 19 Mar 2014Hi. I have bought a HTC 802W and like to share my experience as user.
I have bought this phon... morehi dude....i think u have not searched on google for user manual.....
Hi. I have bought a HTC 802W and like to share my experience as user.
I have bought this phone in first week of February from Dubai by paying extra for extended one year warranty, till date I have not be able to use it for several reason.
1) User manual not available anywhere, no hard copy, CD or on net, you discover yourself what this phone can do.
2) The sim in SIM2 slot is getting blocked for no reasons, the dual sim function works sometimes if only the sims are of two different service provider, after one of two calls it also gets blocked.
3) The option of choosing the sim to use say " Preferred network " not a sim.
3) If internet data is activated on SIM1 slot, it automatically gets activated in SIM2 slot also.
4) function of forming groups of the contact is available, but to set different ring tone to different group is not possible.
5) The HTC Sync Manager is only about music, photos & movies and for contacts only backup & restore, function of updating or adding new contacts via this app is not available, this function is extremely user friendly in "S" phones.
6) The swiping function for dialing or msg is not available, here we have to tap each activity to operate.
I have been in conversation with HTC support since last 6 weeks, they have not been able to provide any solution, they have not responded to my last email since 3/12/2014, my msg reference is (14INCW09ENA000686)
A BIG MISTAKE BY ME FOR BUYING HTC DUAL SIM PHONE.
the 802w version has software updates disabled. it comes with android 4.1.2. and thats it. no updates.also, google services are not available. playstore is there. but somehow this phone is meant only for the chinese market. i am so stuck.
Whats the diff b/w HTC One M7 802w and HTC One M7 802d
For 802w, I see the freq as
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
For 802d, I see the freq as
SIM1: Up to HSPA (900/2100 MHz) and up to EVDO REV. B(800 MHz)
SIM2: Up to EDGE (900/1800/1900 MHz)
not sure whst the diff b/w 802d and 802w
Iíll be having one of this soon,I need to read reviews like this coz' itís coming my way from http://www.merimobiles.com/htc...meri7422.htm it has a removable back cover but the battery is not removable, is that a pros or cons?
try one of those above, you can even send your files easier to your friends becouse you don't need to copy to your computer and back to another micro sd or a pen drive
febin, 04 Apr 2013Some of you still don't know the importance of Memory slot. It is not about the storage space.... moreWith a PC that doesn't include a CD/DVD writer, you can still use USB flash drives, external hard drives, or the numerous cloud services available out there. The same goes for smartphones, you can use WiFi to transfer files between devices (as opposed to your bluetooth suggestion), or again, cloud storage. And yes, you can carry your phone's software with you within the phone or again, on cloud services, and why would you even need to? You don't NEED this software in order to access the phone at all... The ONLY reason why anyone would want or need a micro SD card slot is because they want or need extra storage space, that's it... Every scenario you suggested has other methods to achieve the same result, some of which are even easier, faster, and MUCH better than using a micro SD card.

Not by me or anyone and this is true in all the reviews of HTC phones, about non-expandable memory.
HTC One-Main disadvantage:
4MP camera has disappointing performance in good lighting conditions
Awkwardly-placed and uncomfortable power button
Sense UI still lacks connectivity toggles in notification area
Non user-replaceable battery
Poor video and audio codec support out of box
HTC One S-Main disadvantages:
Non-expandable memory, just a single internal storage option
No dedicated camera key
Battery not user replaceable
Camera interface makes framing videos pretty hard
Incapable of 3G video calls without a 3rd party app

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2013Dropbox?Some of you still don't know the importance of Memory slot. It is not about the storage space. Imagine a pc without a dvd/cd writer. You won't be able to take a personal copy of files rather than in the hard disk. The same goes with a cell phone without an msd slot. It doesn't matter how much internal memory your phone has, whether 64gb or whatever. If you want to keep a personal copy of files, or share some files with others the easiest way to do is transfer to SD Card than through Blue-tooth or anything. You also cannot carry your PC and phone's software everywhere you go. About the Drop box it is not always convenient and not personal at all. Don't say that iphone doesn't have SD slot and it is still a top seller. It would have been better if it had.
this world's most beautiful süper new model mobile phone, ''HTC 802w'' I admire and want it.?
People complaining about samsung design and about the plastic thing. Well its easy to replace unlike the aluminium if dented its useless. Poor htc being humiliated in china. Now apple will start using plastics and a dual sim. Galaxy y for the win. :)
