Ploughing money into cheesy advertisement campaigns and bombarding crappy marketing activities at consumers isn't awesome marketing. Any company can do it if they have the money. This is all for brand exposure/awareness purposes, and their strategy is to get Samsung in your face all the time. If their marketing was awesome, I'd actually remember them no? Well I don't (thank god).

Their success is built on the above brand marketing, selling globally (only Apple beats them in terms of number countries they offer their phones [I think]) some people in countries may want to buy an HTC One but not able to but they probably be able to buy an S4, covering the market with so many devices from low-end to high-end segments to capitalise on the rapid uptake of smartphone devices. Even then their price for the mid-range is OTT (look at Galaxy Ace 3 announcement).

samsung and nokia is doing different business. if samsung introduce a new model it is entirly different from the existing model, so people will buy that to get a new experience. W hat Nokia doing is , they just add some camera diffrences or change the screen size little and do business. So just think which is best

If there weren't soo many android options, Samsung would crush Apple here in the states, too. But I prefer choice. And I choose the best: Samsung (currently).

> In reply to applejuice @ 2013-04-03 20:38 from xA1g - click to readjust google iphone 5 sales, it will show you Q3, Q4 (2012) and Q1 2013, being an android and samsung fan I dont like to see apple on top when they have an inferior product but people are buy for looks alone, but if my maths are correct sales in Q1 of this year apple sold 50million iphones with estimated 73% being iphone 5, plus Q4 that was around 20 million, and Q3 was around 8million meaning galaxy s3 on 52 million ish is slightly outsold but mainly because new s4 will be within weeks, you may get more detailed findings then me, i just googled a few pages

> In reply to Yani2000 @ 2013-04-03 22:22 from 3pwj - click to readbut they actually managed to sell 396 million phones alone last year, and that figues does include third world countries aswell, that 396 million was a 23% increase on 2011 so they simply add another 23%, it is very possible, even in 1st world countries you can buy very cheap mobiles for like 10 euro from most manufacturers, so its not to unrealistic
