Samsung announces Galaxy Win and Trend II droids for China - read the full textChina woke up to two new Android phones from Samsung. One is the Galaxy Win that leaked yesterday a quad-core droid with a 4.7 WVGA screen. Its a single-SIM phone, unlike the one that leaked. The Samsung Galaxy Trend II, the second new device, does have a dual-SIM version, though. Samsung...

I just proved my prices were right, that you are a liar, that using a cover that's made out of aluminum is a bad idea since it shields up the GSM/wireless antennas of the mobile devices, why do you think iPhone's have problems with losing the signal ? you don't hold it right yeah ? LMAO
Samsung smarthphones have plastic back covers so they can send and receive signals in a better way having way lower radiation SAR levels than iPhones.
Just check out the SAR radiation levels:
Galaxy S3 SAR EU = 0.21 W/kg (head)
Galaxy S4 SAR EU = 0.42 W/kg (head)
iPhone 4s SAR EU = 0.99 W/kg (head)
iPhone 5 SAR EU = 0.95 W/kg (head)
But as the saying goes the dumber you are the way dumber you become so does the Apple fans with their radiated brains will. LOL

Apple doesn't mention Gorilla Glass anywhere on the specs of their phones not even on the display side and users have spoken over the forums that the back is clearly not of Gorilla Glass these are just few threads to read on:
giolicious: s the iPhone 4's back also a gorilla glass?
GSA190: No way. I accidently dropped my phone from about 3 ft and the glass shattered.
Hawk: I agree with GSA, there is no way that stuff is as strong as the frontrt=0&tstart=0
Does iPhone 4S have Corning Gorilla Glass?
stedman1: It hasn't been publicly released if it is gorilla glass or not. But, even gorilla glass is not unbreakale. Use a case for better protection.
YasR: It does not mention anywhere in the specs if its the gorilla glass, so should we assume its just a plain one? I think so!
The Back of the iPhone 4 is Not Gorilla Glass
I've seen videos of Gorilla glass devices like the Dell Streak being hammered and thrown and the glass just brushed it off like nothing. I just dropped my iPhone 4 on my driveway with a bumper case on it and the back totally shattered with spider webs. The drop was like less than a meter and landed flat back. It is definitely not gorilla glass, seems like it is cheap run of the mill window glass that shatters into shards (which my back did and a few pieces almost came off).

You're making silly assumptions based on fanboy talking points. The back panel of the iphone used aluminosilicate glass (hint: same stuff as a certain simian themed product). Just like aluminum alloys, there are different types of glass with different manufacturers of varying quality.

Just out of curiosity, why do you think the back glass is "regular" glass? What facts are you basing that on?

I just want to tell that sammy fanboy if his argument are not valid.
he said that plastics are more expensive than metal.
no, I mean not at all.
samsung claims that they use plastics body for reduce the cost, since the demands of its handheld increasing rapidly, so that they can fullfill the demand.
but that sammy fanboy said if plastics are more expensive by showing us those links.
hope you understand what's on my mind :-)

oh yeah, i am not a fanboy. I use xperia for my phone, and macbook for my computer. oh, my refrigerator is samsung's anyways :-D

What's the problem with Gorilla Glass ? Samsung Galaxy phones have Gorilla Glass as other phones do but that Gorilla Glass is always protecting the screen as on other phones too.
Here we talking about the back cover glass and there's no mention about any phone out there to have Gorilla Glass on the back cover they just use regular glass because is cheaper.
So you just tried to make a point but you failed miserably.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-04-05 15:38 from Ja}y - click to readLol. What is that? You really don't understand what you're talking about. You're links are as useless as your comments. First of all, Raw aluminum prices are not an indicator of the final product. Do you understand how commodity prices work? Companies don't use pure aluminum to make a product. They use alloys. Even something as simple as a soda can is made up of two different alloys.

Your link for glass talks about decorative glass. Are you that stupid to think that decorative glass and Gorilla Glass or Dragontrail glass are the same? I'm convinced you really have no idea what you're talking about.

> In reply to hendryrdneh @ 2013-04-05 18:11 from tDxb - click to readI guess you have no idea how technology works since any cover that's made out of a metallic material like aluminum can shield up the GSM antennas of the wireless device making the device to receive no signal or to lose its receiving capabilities decreasing its signal quality download and upload wireless/4G speeds. Also the electromagnetic radiation that hits the brain would be higher since the power of the transmission has to be increased to go through the aluminum cover but since there's no aluminium cover on the side of the screen that's been kept close to the head when you talk the higher radiation hits the brain first.
Plastic doesn't shield up the GSM or wireless antennas of such mobile devices so plastic is the best material to use in such mobile devices like smarthphones.
But could some non tech savvy users like you understand such important technical details ? I guess no.

You didn't read the Wikipedia links at all?!
Your first paragraph is about recycling it has nothing to do with economic prices! Fail!
But to be fair the prices are more ore less the same, but currently polycarbonate is in the lead.
Your second paragraph is also not true! Not all cars are from aluminium! For example Mercedes Smart is made from polycarbonate.
Not get your facts straight and educate yourself before posting gibberish!
But I won't go into which material is better or good looking you have tons of YouTube drop tests and they speak for themselves. :/
BTW, I think iPhone's design is the best, but I don't buy a phone just for the good looks if you know what I mean. ;)

oh yeah, so why don't the plane use polycarbonate as its body, or why don't you change your car's body with polycarbonate, as polycarbonate more expensive and strong like what you've said? :)))

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-04-05 05:10 from mc6Y - click to readAs I said it before Apple employes are among the biggest liars and deceivers as Steve Jobs was so is no wonder why you keep telling lies to people.
Fact is that anyone can do a google search and find out the real prices that I have posted before:
Plastic price is around 3.5 $ / Kg
Aluminum price is around 2 $ / Kg
Glass is actually the cheapest below 1 $ / Kg

Glass: $4/kg
Aluminum: $3/kg
Plastic: $0.50/kg

See how easy it is to say anything without backing it up with any facts?

Anyone can buy or sell these materials at these prices simple as that.
But as it seems you desperately try to make false arguments. I know that Apple employes are told to lie and deceive everyone but you can't deny the truth.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-04-04 16:40 from aXAh - click to readFact is, you didn't understand my comment. I am questioning the basis of his and, by extension, your entire argument. I'm saying that you don't know the price of the plastic, aluminum or glass used by the companies you're trying to criticize. Also, the casing of a phone is nowhere near the most costly component of a phone. It does, however, help set the tone of the product and the expectations of the device.

Since that other guy tried to bring up the prices of plastic, aluminum and glass, do you know their prices? If not, sit down and stop making inane comments.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-04-04 15:50 from mc6Y - click to readFact is that plastic is way more expensive than glass and aluminum so plastic is a premium product used in a premium smartphone that sells by millions.
So what you wanna say is that since aluminum and glass are so so cheap that with 2 $ you buy 1 Kg of aluminum and with 1 $ you buy 1 Kg of glass then the case of iPhone has some 10 grams of aluminum that costs 0.02 $ and 10 grams of glass that costs 0.01 $ let's do the math aluminum + glass 0.02 $ + 0.01 $ = 0.03 $ that's the cost of iPhone case 0.03 $ for a case of a phone that Apple sells it for 700 $.
Paying 700 $ for a phone with a case that costs 0.03 $ to be made that's a lot of stupidity right there.

Imagine if their phones would have different designs then they wouldn't be able to meet the demand 1 billion phones sold in a year. :)

Now that Samsung just stretches the screen and repackages their phones, it's a "classic" design that set Samsung apart. Haha. When Apple and Nokia did it they brought not "innovation" to the table. Now with samsung it's brilliant. Samsung fanboys are so flip floppity.

Its like when ppl complain about iOS looking exactly alike, and becoming a boring Mobile OS for years... guess what, the exact same thing is happening with the phone designs samsung is releasing.
