Nokia N96 starts shipping, it was about time already if not even too late

Nokia N96 starts shipping, it was about time already if not even too late - read the full textThe highly anticipated Nokia N96 was announced back in February 2008 when it looked all shiny and high tech. However, now seven months later it finally starts...

They should reduce the price of this gadget in compensation for the 7-months drag of release. Cellphone users are by minute being pulled off to other potentials such as Blackberry Bold, (even) iPhone 3G (is way cheaper than this dude).

Likewise, Nokia should come out with more original designs instead of just copying its older designs over and over again. The specs improved for sure but the design's gotta change.

Nokia should at least now consider of launching full Touch Screen sets (TFT) with symbian ; this will really shake up the market , as now days it seems to all be about TFT phones

GREAT Audio Quality is a must from this device!! For it to be a success, I mean ...

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-09-04 10:23 from k9W{yes n96 is an improvement of the previous nseries phones. we all know that n95 8gb is the best mobile phone in its genre, but how about the sound, the software? n96 promises great audio quality via the 3.5mm jack because it has a dsp chip. n95 8gb beams a qvga resolution to the tv screen via tv out, while n96 beams vga resolution via tv output. the battery, even if its only 950mah, will last longer than n95 and n82 because its processor consumes less power than other processors. the latest software brings so many improvements to the user interface. for anybody else who never had a n95 8gb and is planning to buy one, n96 is the best option for you.

Why some of you are claiming that INNOV8 costs almost 2 n96s!
N96 unlocked costs 1060 USD as of now. I believe Innov8 will cost around same as N96. And then unlike Nokia, Samsung's price will fall shortly.

When the fact is, in Europe Innov8 is free with contract. Do you think nobody will buy it?? That's absurd.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-09-04 10:09 from RnpGI meant it should of arrived in August not September. I never said Samsung INNOV8 was going to out sell the Nokia N96, I just said that it came out before the N96 in the beginning of September as expected. Get your facts right.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-09-04 10:44 from wYL$n96 will definitely not outsell n85 because in the first place, n96's volume of production will be kept in moderation. it will be limited only. nokia will not produce millions of this unit.

No major improvement on from N95 8gb it would have been better if they included new features which are on the latest market.battery life is poor compared to n95 8gb.Wait and see you ll soon receive an improvement,N95 to N95 8gb,N73 to N73ME,N96 to N96 is it 64gb???.......
