They dont believe its the best, nowdays iPhone is very easy pick, if you understand what i mean. When you are buying expensive phone you just dont test something, you take the one which you have heard good words and see it everywhere. You just know if you go and buy that you are almost sure going to be happy with the choice you made.

Just like samsung nowdays they are also the level where samsung is very easy pick. HTC isnt easy pick and i dont think the products are the problem its the name.

Apple have that in mobile world, but if you see MAC sells, not that easy pick anymore!

90% or something like that doesnt care at all which is best, if it does few scenarios easily its enough, iPhone does what most needs and most important does them very well and also iPhone just looks very good! Also the first impression about iOS device is great, and well its all about first impressions, its the main thing to sell your device.

Nowdays it stands out of those huge phones which everyone else makes, theres also reason for you why iPhone is so popular, everyone doesnt want tablet to their pockets.

If iOS users are most satisfied wth their products and doesnt want to change for another OS, doesnt that say the iPhone have the things what they wanted? Or why they dont change if they arent happy with their products?

My friend who own galaxy s3 (from day one) bought iPad mini, which one you think he uses most? Answer is iPad mini, actually since he bought the iPad mini i havent seen him doing anything else with sgs3 than speak the phone. Also it was his first apple device.

By the way have you own iPhone?

What if Android can do almost everything that IOS can do while Android can do many things that IOS can't?
Check this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMiY1kSTHZw
And yet still an Iphone cost more/equal to an android phone?
Thats why he said "...you get a better phones at a better prices"
But perhaps IOS did provide you some specific apps/features that you can't find in android and thus you go for an Iphone, but many people don't. They believe that Iphone is far far superior than any other smartphone in every segment which is not true.

I'm not saying that a more powerful smartphone is a better phone (like you say it just a matter of personal preference), but it simply just doesn't make sense to spend more and get less.

In short, Iphone is a overrated and overpriced smartphone.

I own iPhone5 and S3 and i too hate that Apple dont add basic yes basic features into the iOS. Sure you can use dropbox but why would you when you can send it directly phone to phone.
Its like everytime you want to buy a milk from your favorite store you have to first go to another store to get permission, its stupid but that is the rule (you get my point i hope).
iPhone has a perfectly good chip inside but they limit you just so they can give it to you later and make money on it. I love my iPhone but lately i realize how stupid Apple is. I do love iOS for its simplicity and clean UI but after having used my S3 for a few months i will say i'm more of a Android guy now since i like the extra features and the possibility to do more.

No you got it all wrong!

Clearly you don't understand the slogan, its all about screen size got bigger in iPhone 5.

"Why buy an iPhone when you get better phones at better prices."

This is one of the stupidest thing what users can say (and still I see this weekly). How you can decise which is better device for someone else? :D we all have our needs, for example i'm musician and cant even think about buying android device, it just doesn't have what iOS devices offers for musicians not even close, well android doesn't offer almost anything for musicians :)

Huh .. You guys know a phone with hotspot ability means wifi / lan on demand right?

Android On Hotspot + iPhone = Android as client and iPhone as server
iPhone On Hotspot + Android = iPhone as client and Android as server

Good android file servers : sshdroid pro ( ssh server - sftp )
Good android file client : astro file browser (http client / or webdev)
Good iphone file servers: iFile (http server)
Good iphone file client: iFile (ssh client - sftp)

You can mix and match! .. multiple android / apple devices joining the hotspot to share and drop files! .. more flexible and faster then bluetooth or dropbox, without the limitation of nfc or usb wires! (but too bad for those without wifi lol.. .. they sorely need an upgrade thou ;X)

Crazy yes.. but when its a will theres a way!..

Wow! 1000likes for that. One who knows about technology, they will never go for iphone. People who really opt for that are like, they wanna show off. 'Hey i got iphone'! Now that sucks!

The difference between an iPhone 5 and a Galaxy S3 is similar in concept to the difference between a top end Ferrari and a Bugatti Veyron when price is no issue: if you ask someone that knows nothing about cars which they want they will almost always pick the Ferrari becauase they likely know of it already and know it is a reputed and popular brand, whilst if you ask someone who knows cars they will pick the Veyron as they know it's a better car.
The masses pick iPhones because "they're the best arent they? Everyone has one so they must be right?", whilst people that actually care about the devices capabilities almost always go for Android in some form or another as it is much more powerful software and gives you a lot more choice, both initially and when it is time for an upgrade.
If you buy an iPhone all the money you spent on apps is wasted unless you buy another iPhone at upgrade, whilst Android offers you HTC, Motorola, LG, Samsung, Sony, Alcatel... so much more to choose from to suit you. And i have a lot of iPhone owners coming into the shop saying that they feel like they don't even own the phone that they're paying/have paid through the nose for, as it simply will not allow you to do things most take for granted, as well as how flimsy they are and how much Apple will literally try to con you for if you go to an Apple store for help.
Again, to reiterate: if you know your stuff you go Android, if you want to have the same overpriced phone as the uneducated consumer masses pick iPhone.

> In reply to Duel @ 2013-04-08 01:54 from p771 - click to readThat's true, but it implies that you have internet connection, always and everywhere. And that's not always the case or worth it. Try using data while roaming to send a 1Gb movie to drop box. It will cost you hundreds of dollars! And don't know about the US, but in EU you don't have free WiFi everywhere you go. I love being able to just plug my phone to any USB compatible device (DVD players, etc...) to show pics and films that are inside, as I would do with a USB key. And yes, using a cable might seem obsolete, but you have to have one to charge your phone anyway (I believe iPhones also come with a cable?) so that's not a big deal. iOS devices are great, but same as Android devices they have their limits and Android is more suited to my needs.

> In reply to Duel @ 2013-04-07 20:03 from p771 - click to readAlright. I agree to what you have said though, in my country India an iPhone 3gs costs Rs. 40000 (721 US $). I was almost into buying an iPhone 5 later last year as my cousins had asked me to get one iPhone instead of using Nokia 3110c. I decided to get one and went to a nearby store to get a demo and pricing. When I asked them about the price, I was dumbstruck to hear that it would cost me Rs. 60000 (1082 US $). I went into some other shops and was greeted with the same price. Thats when I remembered about a phone that my friend had. I called him up and came to know that it was Samsung Galaxy S 3 and i went to a Samsung exclusive smart phone shop and asked them for a demo and i was pleased to hear that it was priced at just Rs. 33000 (595 US $). The s3 is able to do everything in equal terms with an iPhone 5 and has got better facilities than an iPhone 5 like: transfer files using bluetooth to any phones or devices in this world unlike iPhone where the bluetooth file transfer is just limited among iPhones only, using NFC, wireless charging, 96 GB of memory which includes 32GB internal and 64 GB expandable external memory (thank god I am able to use my phone as a storage medium, install many games and apps and take loads of photos and HD videos), install apps, games and copy music and videos from any source unlike iPhone where you are stuck up with iTunes for your life to get anything (no wonder why iPhone users are reluctant to move away from iOS), customizable screen with beautiful widgets unlike the fixed user interface of iphones (hope apple improves it in iOS 7), user replaceble battery etc. With the price that I paid I got a phone with an enlarged screen, zero lags and handsome battery life. Except for asphalt 7 I am able to play all other games butter smooth that too on android! Apple uses the slogan, 'The biggest thing to happen to an iPhone since iPhone' for its new iPhone 5. Apple clearly knows that there where much better phones in the market than iPhone 5 at the time of its release, else they would have used this slogan,' The biggest thing to happen to a smart phone since the first smart phone'. Why buy an iPhone when you get better phones at better prices. I am so happy about the right decision that I have made over iPhone and is enjoying my s3 without any regrets for the past 6 months.

> In reply to Duel @ 2013-04-07 19:41 from p771 - click to readThat just shows developer been a moron to take down your graphic amount so your device can run smooth and not to mention that how much more details you have on HighEnd Android device compared to 3GS and 4.

Asphalt7 SGS2 vs iPhone4 graphic quality.
SGS2:MSAA,Shadows and special effects = bit laggy but playable.
iPhone4 no MSAA and no shadows and no special effects = no lag.

The reason why Apple didnt gone whit HD resolution on IP5 is that developer(RealRacing5)wouldnt show off that special effects, again would be scrapped down for graphic quality if they had HD resolution.

> In reply to Zero @ 2013-04-08 00:18 from w0QI - click to readhave you ever heard cloud services like dropbox etc? they are great for what you just said.

why you want to use Bluetooth or usb cable when you can do things wirelessly and the professor can be even different state and send you files with no problem.

by the way you can just email pdf files, im sure its easier for you professor to send the pdf mail for many people instead sending it over Bluetooth :)

Come to future and learn new useful things!

By the way, you can take "your" iPAd to your friend and send any videos into iPad wirelessly with any computer which have internet connection, you don't need wires.

"share a bunch of stuff over Bluetooth to other devices other than an apple and the ability to use them right away(it's a sweet function and you know it),"

Yes its sweet function, its called "dropbox" for example, im using it almost daily, very handy when I have my files everywhere where I go. if someone send me files over Bluetooth I still need to send them to my computer afterwards. When I use dropbox I get the same files for my iPad, my iPhone and my pc.

I don't know 'bout you guys but unless I can plug-in an iPhone(pad etc) to another person's PC to copy files like music and movies or share a bunch of stuff over Bluetooth to other devices other than an apple and the ability to use them right away(it's a sweet function and you know it), iOS gadgets are just useless to me. I'm an English and literature major in college and file sharing is really important to me especially in class where most of my professors hand out PDF files from their android phone/laptops via Bluetooth or USB Cable.

Android users are moving to other OS. They can't stand reboots and factory resets.
