LG does not impress alot of people because they started off getting themselves a bad name releasing such rubbish phones on the "3" network an nearly every phone turned out so unreliable an poor,an now they keep trying to attract people to get there phones but there unreliabilty is not just on there mobiles but there lcd tvs,so alot of work as got to be done at LG before people will trust there products,a touch screen mobile might look o.k but having to wipe the phones screen all time ends up annoying, hardlines LG but keep trying

I'll wait till I can actually demo it before I get excited.
Until then...Omnia

Apple phones touchscreen is great but the phone is certainly not the end all. Competition is great and for other companies to incorporate full touch into their products, I say do it. Do it and improve on it and provide users with choices.
LG has made a very good touch phone not too long ago - viewty anyone so calling it wack is your ignorance perhaps..

i don't think lg is really trying to compete with iphone. Most iphone lovers just loves apple period. I had an iphone but returned it the next day. besides the the multi touch it doesn't compete with anybody. Even the nokia n95 is alot better i think with flash lite 3, the ability to play games against people thats online. the emtube that allows you to download youtube to your phone the second camera, the 5mp camera with 30fps video at vga and a2dp for stereo bluetooth. I mean apple is so smart if you think about it. they sell products half ass and people would still support them.

Hey, it is pretty impossible not to have an 'iphone' copycat,
even though samsung, lg etc produced touch screen phones pre-iphone.
Because Touch phones have to be just a screen, there is little scope for design so all touch phones will look the same, unless you want something the size of a piece of a4, or with wings or whatever, to accommodate a different button set up or a radical shape(look at what happen when HTC tried to be a tiny bit radical with the diamond). And since since the touch screen is expensive, people will pay more so expect more features, so all touch phones will obviously be ipods and cameras and internet surfers etc.
Finally, bear in mind that the most markets work on one company mimicing a successful product from another company. People like the iphone interface, so a company that wants to make money will do their best to try and copy the user interface without breaking copyright laws, thus the subtle differences.
rant over o_O
