Well I'll see you when I can buy the same app on my x86 Windows 8 PC, my Windows Phone AND my Surface RT.
Out of all these companies MS is the only one that actually has this vision and has taken steps to materialize it. (Oh, I forgot, Google doesn't really have a desktop OS!)

And Windows Phone 7.x will be a distant memory at that time, just like Windows Mobile is now. Seriously, did you just involve Windows Phone 7 to score some argument points?

BS! It's BASED on the windows NT kernel, a very big difference. That's why WinRT and WP8 apps are not compatible, so you have separate stores(you have to pay twice for the same app, while on iOS and Android you pay only once and you can use the app both on phones and tablets). In the future, MS intends to "unify" the RT with WP8, meaning that at least one of them (WP7 and WinRT) won't be compatible with the new OS, so you'll have to buy your apps again. But knowing MS, probably both WP and RT won't be compatible with their new OS.

uhm, I don't think you guys are going to pass a math test. that picture has 5 columns or tiles the big ones are 2x2. WP8 already has 4 columns

Live tiles are elegant and futuristic. Widgets are disgusting.

my question is windows phone is the only unique os out there.....everybody has icons. why on earth should ms copy any ideas especially widget, thats android which they stole from vista. now htc wants to copy live tiles in a way. microsoft is as usual innovating and other are following, heck isn't the pixel chromebook touch enabled? hmmmmm....

2nd, playstore is not in your face everytime like W8 home screen?

3rd, Blinkfeed actually provides you social information straight away which is useful to people who likes to use fb or twitter or information on the go, then you can slide left or right to see other home screens, so again its not in your face 24/7.

People say W8 ui is ugly because it mostly consist of just colourful boxes, which looks boring to most people and youll see it everytime.

U G freaking L Y.

Big phones are ridiculous, WP should not adapt to this ridiculous trend.

Even support for 1080p is too much for me, is anyone really complaining on 1280x768? And FFS, don't ruin the interface!

THESE STUPID PEOPLE SAY THIS IS UGLY . BUT I SEE IT WAY BETTER THAN HTCS BLINK FEED AND PLAY STORE UI I JUST WANT TO COMPARE LUMIA HOME SCREEN WITH THE CLUTTERED BLINK FEED. AND I ASSUME PEOPLE WHO SAY W8 HOME SCREEN UGLY HAVE NEVER SEEN PLAYSTORE ON THEIR ANDROID PHONES.AND I HAVE PROOF SEE THESE PICS AND SAY WHICH IS SIMPLISTIC AND REFINED
