WP7 was based on CE kernel whereas WP8 is based on NT kernel which is the same kernel as Windows 8 and Windows 8 RT. So when these will be unified automatically your apps and games will be unified as well. So those who have bought the apps on WP8 now won't have to buy them separately for Windows 8/RT.

I wanna try WP but Im scared that I wont be able to use apps that are available in appstore and playstore. Maybe in the near future, WP will be on par with the 2 giant OS.

First they called it live tiles, innovative and now it has been reduced to the size of normal icon and still known as live tile...... Wats the difference between a normal grid menu and this customized windows tile........

> In reply to X @ 2013-04-12 11:47 from Am9Y - click to readWhen you code apps for Win Phone/8/RT (As I do) you have to tweak the UI. That is it. That is the difference when writing apps for them. The same code runs on RT as it does on Win Phone. Besides, if this is true, it will most likely be in the Blue update and available for all current Win 8 phones.

Why people even think of this Tiles OS,it now looks similar to icons,in a real bad way,Microsoft biggest blunder is they tried to be different but they kick off there own @55, something about life,Nature loves evolution rather than revolution, thus evolution by copying or taking cues from competition is far better than just bringing any crap like windows phone.
