What part of "That's to be expected, though, as mobile phones in Russia are notorious for being overpriced compared to those in western markets.", don't you understand?

dear gsmarena,
i think ur the only website we( nokia fans) look often and feel happy that our once loved nokia is not dead..we all know that nokia is bleeding to death..yet we satisfy by looking for nokia news in ur site..
engadget, techradar and most of tech sites have abandoned nokia..they don't even consider publishing any news on nokia.of course nokia death is inevitable, they die with launch of useless phones with too low rom, ram, no carl zeiss lens yet too COSTLY. Nokia is hastening its death time.. they want to close as soon as possible..its pity microsoft has joined death race..any way thanxs to gsmarena,we wish to hear the nokia closure first from ur site only.. will be keep looking for the news daily as early..

Nah, that's actually what we expected. Can't scare a Russian with a price tag like this.

HTC one costs $930 at launch.

In Turkey Nokia 720 cost 555$. It's just unrighteous. I don't blame Nokia or comm. companies too much. The biggest problem is the taxes from our country. Also i would like to write some other funny phone prices.
Iphone 4s is still almost 1000$
the most ridiculous price : Iphone 4 is cost 666$

> In reply to JBird @ 2013-04-12 19:47 from mJDG - click to readFirst of all, Amazon has the Nokia NINE HUNDRED "900" not NINE HUNDRED TWENTY "920" unlocked on Amazon for $275.

Second, comparing prices in different economies, currencies, and regulatory environments as equals is fallacious.

The story says "That's to be expected, though, as mobile phones in Russia are notorious for being overpriced compared to those in western markets."

Or did you just "conveniently" disregard that whole sentence in order to maintain your argument?

Or maybe Nokia is just interested in having the customer have a delightful experience.

I work for Nokia, and I tend to believe that our corporate values and general interest in the consumer are probably the driving force behind this unprecedented customer service.

Nokia Who do think you are? Samsung?
485$ are you kidding yourself no one buys this outdated phone for that price, Dual Core not even Krait and WVGA!
Your flagship 920 costs 274$ in Amazon.
Only Samsung Sony HTC Motorola Apple can ask for that price, your price should be under 300$ as top.
