After Sony Ericsson announced the official launch date of the Xperia X1, HTC also announced the HTC Touch HD with better spec & feature like 3.5 inchi WVGA(800x480 pixel) screen, 5 megapixel camera, etc.
8 Megapixel cameraphone C905 was announced first, but Samsung i8510 released first. Xperia announced first too, but HTC Touch Pro released first.
Why Sony Ericsson always take a long time to release new flagship product ? Not surprised when Sony Ericsson lose in market this year. I hope this situation not continue for the next year.

With all the capabilities of this phone it makes me wonder what the battery life will be like. My guess is even with a very large one the battery life will be very short in the area of 3 or 4 hours with bluetooth and wifi on or with the 3g and push email.

Rather bulky and heavy
Fingerprint-prone front panel
Average sunlight legibility
No standard 3.5mm audio jack
Back panel design hurts usability
Limited scroll wheel usage
No adequate storage memory out of the box

xperia is much better then touch pro! xperia has: bigger and higher resolution screen, better camera with better video quality, 3.5mm jack, stereo speakers and better build quality and looks better. It's an easy choice the xperia pisses all over the touch pro!

It terms of Mobility and Benefits, is there anything this sweet phone from SE, has ontop of the E71 I just bought. Probably for those who favor WinMo over Symbian.
a nice phone though. i guess I will be sticking with my E71 for quite a while.

now... between the SE Xpreia and the HTC Touch Pro.
i prefer the Touch Pro...
first reason, HTC is leading company in winmo-based mobile-phones.
second reason, Xperia was actually made by HTC for SE. so, i doubt that it will perform better than the Touch Pro.
