> In reply to JB update hater @ 2013-04-21 14:25 from w9Ld - click to readI have had Motorola, Samsung and currently Sony... I can tell you that all manufacturer will ignore certain type of devices specially if they are not flagship, and even so, Motorola left me in the dark with the flagship Atrix... I jumped to Samsung and it is I've of the best for updates... but Sony is among the good updaters... stay away from Motorola, LG, and smaller brands...
If updates is the most important for you, go for nexus...

Why yes on go, and not on sola and u?
Because go has lesser ppi. I can't elaborate much further, make some research.

xperia u, sola, and go run the same hardware. not any of them are flagships, xperia go is the newer xperia active Mr.fancy pants and go is not the xperia z. besides even with more resolution running, xperia u matches the performance of the hvga screen xperia go.
so dont you dare call an xperia u trashy.

you please go update your 3310.....

This is because of the resolution. Xperia Go uses a different and lower resolution than the Sola and U, which in turn uses less ram, processing power and load on the GPU. This is why jelly bean will be possible to the Go and not the Sola and the xperia U.

> In reply to comnic5 @ 2013-04-21 17:43 from g55G - click to readwell, the problem is that Xperia U has a higher resolution screen... that put a strain on processor... the go on the other hand is very clean... simpler screen... at least Sony is giving upgrade to most of its line.

Trust me I had a Motorola Atrix... a flagship that did not get past 2.3.

Now I'm a happy Acro S owner waiting patiently

They are giving 4.1 to Xperia Go and not for Xperia U? Wtf, Xperia U isn´t a 2012 device? F... them all. Sony sucks. They should give to 2011 devices upgrades too.

Blame Google for the OS restrictions, not Sony. Google is evil.
