the on/off button issue is true but takes 5-10 seconds of sustained pressure to react....been using mine in my pocket for a week and never had it happen without consciously trying........it applies to my Samsung Galaxy S4 as well...so don't blame the ACER.
Its part of the way to force restart the device.

Overall this is a good phone: fast, decent memory and not overloaded with constructor pre-installed apps. One major design defect is the on/off button. Even when the phone is locked, you can turn it off by pressing on the off button. This is bad because, when you carry the phone in your pocket, the on/off button can be accidentally pressed and you do not realise that your phone is off.

It's like saying: "omfg another car with 4 wheels and a drivers seat... companies need to stop copying each other and come up with an original shape"

The low res screen and sgx544 combo sounds like an onscreen gpu benchmark monster.
