The benchmarks shown in above post are not up to the point. The fone arena is very miserable site . The original Benchmarks
Samsung I9500 Galaxy S4 - 27417
Samsung I9505 Galaxy S4 - 23607
HTC One - 22678
hey guys is it nice mobile?should i buy it or not?
i love this mob but some people are complaining about ram....if someone is using s4 then plz tell me should i buy this mob or not???
waiting for reply
the guys who wants a sturdy and beautifully carved phone should buy Htc one , but those who want all features except looks should buys S4
High benchmark is good but it does not mean it has no problem completely.Even very good desktop computers lag sometimes. Those all who are head to head competiters are not so different and price also not so different. But I like S4 because of its Super amoled screen with better ppi than apples retina display and big 5" screen.
geordie81, 28 Apr 2013i had this problem also with all the ram being used, go into settings ->more-> applicati... moreThanks buddy but it didn't really help moreover I don't want to clear anything other than S Health since none of them seem to be bloatware other than TW itself may be.
Even my iMac 27 inch does not consume so much RAM though I have 12 GB installed.
This suggests the the samsung galaxy s4 exynos 5 octa is slower than the samsung galaxy s4 snapdragon 600
Benchmarks mean nothing in regards to everyday "email, text, web, video, taking pictures and video" use, does anyone really think you will see a difference between any of those devices in everyday use, I doubt it very much, just more marketing stuff by corporations. When they can show me a battery that can last two days with regular use, then I will be impressed.
Just check here
S4 Lags at 2:44, even a kid can say it.
Also am not even comparing it to WP. WP is far better.
"The Exynos 5 powered Samsung Galaxy S4 is right at the top of the Quadrant benchmark and has a huge lead over its other competitors which include HTC One and Sony Xperia Z."
13161 vs 12577
LOL wutz, since when 4% of score in benchmark becoming "huge lead"?
I did run quadrant antutu and glbenchmark..overall the values were greater than htc one and higher than the snapdragon version of S4 except for the quadrant
S4Maniac, 28 Apr 2013RAM being used 1.30 GB out of 1.89 GB when there are no active applications running. Not sure ... morei had this problem also with all the ram being used, go into settings ->more-> application manager and disable the apps that keep opening up, so for example, my s health keeps running as does watch on and samsung hubs and so on, disable them! and once you have managed to disable about 15-20 apps and restart your phone you will notice your ram jumps up massively, i disabled loads of mine because it was eating up ram and battery, now mine reads 629Mb used from 1.9Gb, hopefully this helps a bit
Ricky Bobby Johnson, 28 Apr 2013ALL versions support LTE. I9500, I9505, I9502, I9508.no they don't not yet, future octa core versions will support LTE but current versions do NOT, there is no 4g chip built in them. the uk has only got the quad core snapdragon version because we now have 4G, and will have at least 4 networks running 4G by roughly september 2013, so we did not get the octa core version for that exact reason, however future versions of the galaxy s4 will no doubt be released which will have both octacore and 4G on board.
RAM being used 1.30 GB out of 1.89 GB when there are no active applications running. Not sure if S4 used 32 bit address space which probably why 8GB of disk space is reserved for system?
[deleted post]All they talk about is the S4.
The HTC One or any of the other flagships didn't get half of the coverage that this has had.
Had my s4 48hrs and so far it's brilliant.
Don't listen to the fools who don't own it
going on about lag etc(there is none).
As for memory I chucked in a 64gb microsd
card and ... nuff said
Droided, 28 Apr 2013those videos showing lag are just the cheaper snap dragon quadcore B version samsung S4's and ... moreSo to stop the lag you should root it? Lol
You're paying top dollar for a smartphone man, you should have a butter smooth experience out of the box, like on the iPhone.
Because there are no videos, doesn't mean there is no lag.
Jbird ., 28 Apr 2013There is no pre release models. All are same, there s no special concern over making a pre-rel... moreprove it.
NO VIDEOS showing the 8 cores can lag at all.
WP is what lags and it can't handle the processor technology android can do now anway
Android 4.1 with butter smoother stops lag.
so any number above 4.1 does not lag as well.
All reviews say it butter smooth
This is why WP users are panicking
Anonymous, 28 Apr 2013Guys i am warning you ... TEST out the phone first. I tested S4 (s600 version) and HTC one. As... morebad lag? like half a second? 1/3 of a second? stop lying dude, the lagg is so minimal only geeks or haters would have a problem with it, if u still hate the small lag theres always Nova Launcher, which is the smoothest launcher around.
