> In reply to XperiaFanDroid @ 2013-05-01 01:52 from v0qy - click to readYeah, thats right...but all of this so called weekneses is minor to what these flagship can offer..like S4, i dont care about material used but design matter to me and they fall short...ONE, i think in real life the camera quality is great..u will never take a pic and then inspect them intensively like the review..most people i know will only take pic and look at them the way they are and never zoom them...SXZ, i think the viewing angle is not all that bad. the majority of people doesnt even look at your phone in sideways..and people who complaint about it also never do...G pro...well, late update is frustrating but advance user can resolve to Root...i know i will...on all of them..

As amazing as this phone sounds, I don't even wanna think about how horribly over priced this device is gonna be -.- I love Sony, I've owned many of their phones, but their phone prices have been absurd lately.

For now the spec are really overkill and could kill all of the other flagship model. But main the question is the time of when would it be release - would it still be ahead of the competitor or just about the same time.

Funny how every (almost) flagship device has weakness that people keep bashing of.
S4 - cheap plastic
hTC One - 4 MP (ultra)
XZ - poor viewing angles
G Pro - slow updates

I really do hope Sony will be successful w/ there new display, http://www.xperiablog.net/2013...smartphones/
so that people can STFU! I also hope other OEM will improve too. But then, people will still look for every possible weakness no matter how great a smartphone is.

> In reply to MdN @ 2013-05-01 01:21 from p41m - click to readThere IS lots of processing on the 808, but it's actually very good. The colors are enhanced properly etc, and it's definitely the best smartphone camera. If only they found a way to make the sensor smaller.

I think Nokia made such a terrible decision with WP. A decent phone with the 808 sensor and Android would be a beast, competing directly with the best selling smartphones like the S4, Iphone 5, Xperia Z and HTC One. If they managed to put a 4,7+ inch clear black amoled there that'd be the winner phone.
Most people don't buy Nokia not because they make bad phones, but because their phones are limited by Windows Phone, which is a niche product for people who don't need a more advanced mobile OS. Because of Microsoft's license fees it costs like one though.

Stop all this crap about Sony screens. Their screens are brilliant and full of life. If the viewing angles are not perfect this doesn't mean the screen is not great!
Jeez gsmarena you see this is what happens when you speak your thoughts to uneducated audience. The results are stupidity every where which will repeat that Sony has bad screens which is far from the truth. In scientific terms this is what we call( The Mass Mind) the stupid majority which repeats something they have no clue about.

Anyway, back to the topic. I am looking forward for this camera, it seems Sony plans to fix the negative feedback about their current camera's. Yes, Sony your name is among the best in producing superior camera's worldwide so it's a shame that you lack such thing in the mobile department.

However, with the new sensor, and cyber-shot technology I believe you will be back in the game in no time! So, I'm truly looking forward to it.

PS: I won't reply to any brainwashed fans who their words speak loudly of the level of IQ they obtain, I only reply to people who actually have the ability to understand, rationalize and have the ability to write 3 sentences without contradicting themselves. I have zero interest in a conversation with people who still remain in the apes zone(Darwin,1831).

> In reply to karfous.tnt @ 2013-05-01 01:01 from 6v$@ - click to readSerious? There is NO processing in N8. And only LITTLE processing in 808.
Anyway, it's a good thing to have a better choice of cameras than just one-two brands. "An all new image processing algorithm" sounds good too, if I was Sony I would be embarrassed that SGS4 gets way better photos with the same sensor as Xperia Z. It was like Sony camera module designers never talk to Sony image processing people.

Hopefully this is true. Half of smartphone manufacturers are using Sony sensors.

If it comes to the upcoming phone, it's probably going to be annihilated with a poor screen, like all Sony phones.
