No wonder that HTC sells less and less. Although their products are excellent, many users do not take seriously a smartphone without external memory slot! Nokia and Sony and even understood and are selling much better! Maybe when HTC will understand, will be too late :-( several few years ago I was a fan of Nokia and Sony, but for 20 months I am a fan of Samsung. But now with the characteristics of the Sony Z, I'm seriously considering returning to Sony for two main reasons: pride camera with Exmor RS sensor and of course expandable memory slot. Very good for Sony! Pity HTC :-(

> In reply to Gladys @ 2013-05-02 17:47 from tU33 - click to readI agree, I think saying that the HTC One is beautiful is kind of repeating what a few people said. I don't think it looks great. The bezels are so huge, it's going to look outdated real quick. The Xperia Z and S4 are going to look much more modern and cutting edge because they are smaller while packing larger displays - the bezels are smaller.

Also, the One looks like the new Blackberry, and for some reason that phone was criticized for its looks and copying the chinese G3 phone.

Yeah, the One isn't selling in Central Europe as well. It's priced almost the same as the Galaxy S4, eh.

It makes me wonder though, because HTC are still on the positive side of things (after cutting down operating costs, they are still turning some very minor profit and kind of holding on).

They might really go bankrupt after the One fails though. And that's kind of a scary thought, because it might mean that people who decided to buy the One will be left with 0 support.

It is crazy the number of Samsung fan boys trolling here!

I think both phoned are great I have the HTC myself and whichever you choose is all personal preference. First up can you sad pathetic people saying it's only 4mp please juststop yourself writing such ridiculous comments. Actually use the camera and you will see it stands up fine if not better than the s4 camera which interface is cluttered whereas zoe is sleek and does more! Many websites other than this bias Samsung review site prove what I am saying. Both cameras are fantastic .

Those that say design quality doesn't matter I'll have whatever you're smoking please. For a phone worth over 500 you wsnt it st the very least to look the part not identical to the s3 and made of plastic good god. How many of you are really going to hover your hand over the screen? Not to mention how it makes the phone lag. Come off your rocker and accept the features suck other than the s translator which in my opinion is a revolution

The HTC also has blinkfeed and ten times better audio as well as a higher PPI the best on the market so such hateful comments on it are absurd.

Both phones are fantastic and the 32 gig is plenty particularly as most use dropbox anyway and don't carry another battery too haha ! Either way it's down to preference. Both are amazing phones and the fact sandy g has done fake reviews just shows how close it is and desperate they are emphasised by tech radar saying HTC is the best.

The one will never outsell the Samsung purely due to marketting but in my view is the better phone. It's all down to preference end of story

Me personally. i dont solely purchase a phone just because you may look nice. i decide on a phone more on its features and hardware capabilities. I wouldnt have mind, if the "Ultrapixel" thing could have given better images than the 2013 flagships but it does, in low light it is a bit better, but only by a margin. I dont like when companies make a sure decision and tell me what i do with a phone and what i dont do. How does HTC knows that i do not print my images on paper, i honestly prefer higher resolutions anyday.

Most android flagships these days more or less performance wise is on par. so there must be this differentiating aspect of a phone that sets in apart from the rest, and i do not see any such in the ONE, atleast the Xperia Z has its water and dust capabilities

> In reply to abx98 @ 2013-05-02 18:28 from vI1m - click to readSo you think samsung is gonna copy a failing company?

and whether you want to admit it or not...good or bad samsung completely change their design from all other OEMs when the released the s3, tell me which phone did they copy to make the s3... other OEMs had much beautiful looking phone, but they didnt sell as much as the s3, that goes to show you, the LOOKS of a phone is nothing but PURELY subjective

no SDcard slot? then keep falling and falling

most people still prefer functionality from a smartphone, not everybody can be fooled by good looking design.
learn from SE xperia arc beaten to pulp by samsung galaxy S

samsung is strong in regular os update, tons of software apps exclusive for samsung, expandable sd card, removable battery.
IF HTC achive above points easily then can beat samsung. samsung lack in external design but HTC strong in good design and quality.

Karma!! This is what you get. Re-tweeting all those tweets bashing Samsung during the press release and Samsung the S4 saying the plastic is cheap compare to HTC One. Please drop of it off a desk table at average height and tell me if it doesn't crack because its heavier than plastic.

You brought this on yourself HTC. Next instead of telling people what they want listen!!! All those pissed off people who had old HTC phones probably had a S3 or soon be S4 because you didn't listen.
