htc really loves nokia. Look how they copy and stole new ideas and slap them on their flagship htc one. My One X has not been updated since god-who-knows. HTC - HATE THEIR CELLPHONES.i'd rather see zte and huawei on the top list over HTC.

I mean, if you drop the iPhone from 1 metre you will get a broken phone, and if you don't, you'll probably replace it after 2 years. Samsung at least try to make good internals. It is performance that counts in real life after all, not looks.

Anyway, the HTC One is a great device, save for the bad camera. Ultrapixels are good, as long as you have more of them. Until then the detail levels will be horrible.

> In reply to AMB123 @ 2013-05-06 20:15 from jZbY - click to readMediocre hardware on htc one? You are either blind or just ignorant. Actually they both have the same chipset, the loudspeaker and whole music experience is better with htc, the screen is superior on htc too IMO (i compared them both today).
cameras on both have their pros and cons, so we can argue all day about which is better.
So, mister AMBwhatever, here's the question of the day: Why would anyone choose crappy build and design vs the premium ones, when the hardware and performance are the same?
I know there are people who will choose samsung's tricks and gimmicks and not the premium build quality with features that are really useful, i feel sorry for them.
So have fun with your plastic toys, no mater whether it's gs3, gs4 or gnote2, they all look the same anyways lol.

HTC phones have worst battery backup... I wonder why such multi billion dollar company/companies can't understand this basic fact that people want their smartphones to give full day of backup irrespective of whatever they do

Who cares, plastic or not. The average lifetime of a modern mobile device (I refuse to call them phones any longer)is 3 years at most. This is including second and probably third hand use of it. Apple, whether you like it or not set the universally accepted standard, which is the two year term for a new model. So, what is the point of using premium materials vs a quality plastic (check out endurance tests samsung vs iphone).
With Samsung or HTC or whatnot we are getting the top of the line hardware (processors, cameras, memories etc.) I vote for the cheap device with top of the line hardware packed in the average looking plastic vs super expensive mediocre hardware wrapped in gold.
