I am an SE fan. I admit they aren't doing well. Bought the K850i, struggled with it, and threw it away. Now with the Nokia N95. Ironic, to say the least.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2008-09-19 15:37 from P9nZTo all SE fans in this forum.. especially this one.. try to read this... read it and understand it...

While Sony Ericsson has been enjoying strong growth recently, its South Korean rival LG Electronics overtook it in Q1 2008 due to the company's profits falling significantly by 43% to €133 million, sales falling by 8% and market share dropping from 9.4% to 7.9%, despite favourable conditions that the handset market is expected to grow by 10% in 2008. The situation is getting worse as Sony Ericsson announced another profit warning in June 2008[1] and saw net profit crash by 97% in Q2 2008, announcing that it would cut 2,000 jobs, leading to wide fear that Sony Ericsson is on the verge of decline along with its struggling rival, Motorola.

> In reply to NEVER AGAIN @ 2008-09-19 23:38 from DxCpIsn't anything technology related getting cheaper these days? That's the price of progress.

Get over it.

I too believe the E72 will be set for a lower price point than the E71, the E75 though, is just plain sweet... I love it, this form factor has been reserved for the N810, and now we see a smaller more compact version of it for this E75, the specs on this would be equally promising,... we wait and see.

I am a fan of Symbian bytheway,.. would always put Nokia first to HTC based on solely that. simply because I can find more applications for symbian than I would for WinMo. aside from Symbian operating slightly faster on mobiles than WinMo, and somehow more reliable and solid. atleast for now, in comparison to the few WinMo devices I have tried.

The Eseries is shaping up nicely though. always a treat to look at, and equally a treat to use.

What!! A cheaper Nokia Eseries. I hope E72 is not better than E71, if so, that will be the LAST TIME I ever going buy a nokia phone again.I hope Nokia get this message, and make the right decision,if not I need some money back from nokia spending nearly $450.

One of Russian web-sites reported that E72 will be a cheaper version of e71. It will keep the same specs, but steel will give way to plastic. If you think about it, it makes a whole lot of sense: e62 was a stripped down version of e61. So, e72 is not a successor to e71, but rather a complimentary device in the e line. e75 will be a blast, though -- a whole new device.
