However, I just noticed that even though the OS is up to date (7.10.8862.144), the firmware is still the old one (2175.1003.8112.12085). According to nokia it should be: 2175.2307.8862.13100. Should I be concerned about this? Is there's still ANOTHER update I should be waiting for? or should I force check it (via Zune)?
TheApprentice, 10 May 2013Guess Verizon getting an exclusive device is not going down with AT&T. Offering a free 920... moreThey are unlocking the L920's also that could mean EOS is coming sooner than we think
This update came out several months ago for Lumia 900 AT&T users. I just simply hooked it up to the POS Zune software a few months back and it did it all.
I did however, get notified of an additional update yesterday though, so maybe it was a patched version.
This is the second update of WP 7.8 for the L900
The first update was know for Live tiles problems and some lag.
This second update fix that problem.
It was an outdated phone when it was launch ! Very bad market strategy of Nokia !
Whoever purchase this phone from the beginning is dump though !
To think, that people praised MS for going to update all the WP7 devices with the latest software. Now, old phones get the last update half a year later than possible (something Android is being trashed for regularly) and WP8 will always remain to be a wet dream that never becomes reality for those devices (another thing Android is being trashed for regularly).
I updated my Nokia Lumia 900 AT&T to WP 7.8 about 3 months ago, through ZUNE. no tricks... it just popped an update and I clicked it... dont know why this is ¨recent¨ news
