I still can turn the Note 2 with shock and water proofing with trouble of buying these accessories, than settle something that doesn't have what I personally need.

> In reply to TheNeighbor @ 2013-05-22 10:40 from t7Ns - click to readlet me put this simple and to the point. an outdoor phone does not need 5" of screen, it does not need fancy materials. this one fails miserably. i don't care about the amoled, the quadcore or the s-pen. this kind of phone needs a simple structure, easy washable, good port coverage so you won't accidentaly open it and let water in. i have seen motorola defy, samsung xcover fail in day to day usage or droped from waist height. i have a xperia active and a xperia go, yes they tend to make you mad because of low ram or the screen is not oleophobic treated, but i have dropped them, thrown them and never had structural damage and the day to day usage is ok, especially the go battery management, i get 2 days worth of battery, for me is ok. go and cuddle with your samsung because the outdoors man is not interested in those features, they want a dependable phone.
cheers.

> In reply to xili @ 2013-05-22 03:30 from CZYu - click to readMan, what a troll you are. I said "pocketable with a Wacom digitizer system." Does Sony have an Android cellphone unit with a Wacom system?

I can put my Note II in my top shirt pocket. I can put it in my jeans pocket too. It has a Wacom digitizer system called the S Pen. It's a hybrid of a cellphone and a tablet. It's good for digital painting with the Sketchbook and Photoshop Touch apps.

The Note II hardly reaches 40°C. It has a very good battery efficiency, lasting a whole day of heavy usage. I can even change to a fresh battery of need be. Sony doesn't offer that with their current models. Again, a personal preference.

Ordinary cellphones Sony offer can't give me the productivity, efficiency and the stamina what Samsung is offering. 5" screen is RELATIVELY small for me. It's not even AMOLED which is again RELATIVELY my PERSONAL preference. I can actually change the screen mode to a less saturated rendering when I do my coloring.

The rest was some overall endless garbage rant. Please make more useful replies

> In reply to TheNeighbor @ 2013-05-21 12:20 from v0qJ - click to readOh really? Sony does not offer anything that is pocketable?

XZ - 139 x 71 x 7.9 mm
S4 - 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm

So you mean the addition 2.4MM height and 1.2MM width will make XZ not pockectable for you?! Do you know what is millimetre?

Note2 - 151.1 x 80.5 x 9.4 mm

Then what about Note 2? Not even mention about the Mega 6.3 too. But I guess you will claims that it is because Samsung has the "rounded corner", so it is pockectable, and..... ya, as always.... =_="

Camera? Ya, Samsung done better in this part than Sony, but this doesn't mean Sony's camera performance is crap, for me at least.

Battery? Oh god, nowadays every smartphone are suffering from bad battery performance and overheating DURING HEAVY USE, non of them are exception (including your favorite Samsung's phone). And also the newly announced Xperia ZR is a "waterproof" smartphone with have a 4.6" screen, REMOVABLE battery + SDcard slot.

Water-resistance -> won't die under water but can't use under water, like XZ and THIS S4 Active (tot using some trick, you can still manage to take photo or video underwater)
Water-proof -> Can be used underwater like taking photo or video underwater

Some ppl may have claims that Samsung copied/followed Sony for releasing water resistance phone, which is shouldn't be blamed as consumers doesn't care who came first or not, we prefer more choices in the market. Something that you think it is the best (to you) doesn't mean it is the best to all others, so stop bashing who/what is crap that you think it is not the best (to you).

DAMN IT!!! These guys could have given this as a hint before I got my S4!!! I would have totally gone for the waterproof one!!! Man, this is the pain in getting some flagships!!! You get one, come home hoping to show it off, you see a newer release!!! GAH!!!

And, this thread is turning out like football fans complaining against FC Barcelona, that they're paying up the refs!! Grow up guys!! Unless you come up with a product with no flaw, just chuck your thoughts and appreciate the pros in 'em!!!
