I have one of these on trial and can definitely confirm that it does NOT have a 5MP camera, 3.2MP I'm afraid, it does have smile detection though

I still like Sony Ericsson, all other barnds just follow C905 came out then Samsung i8510
K800i was released, few months later N73, D900
W800i released - 3250 then came, and Samsung i300 something

Recently, SE removes digital clock and icon of new events appear on saver screen so we have to press the key to active the display to look new event!

K700 has a known software fault- fixed by a software update.
As for a SE with a good camera. Look no further than the c905. It has auto focus and auto contrast. Conforms to the cybershot standard and is an 8mp camera. Australians wiil be getting this phone in less than 2 months- if what little info i squeezed out of Sony Ericsson marketing managers is correct.

Designing is not as simple as wat u imagine. If yes, u can always see alot of different around us. but the fact is, NO.
Not only SE. Nokia, Moto & Samsung are all not coming out of new & fresh design everyday.
Good design doesnt come easy, sometimes it jus bounce out like tat, sometime, it wont even come after few years. :)
take it easy dude, i always believe good design always come, jus depends on timing and everyone's preference. cheers...

Sony Ericsson make life abit easier by this:
Keeping the same Software Platform - A200
Same Fast Port Connector - So all earphones connect no matter the phone is
Design and Navigation and Compatiblity - All Same
Disadvantages of SE:
1. Lack of 3.5mm jack
2. Not very powerful Processors
3. Same Boring Designs over and over again
4. Software is the same, but its very nice
5. Lack of HSCHD and EDGE in 1 phone, (either 1 in missing) depends on model number
6. Keypads/D-Pad can be abit weird
7. abit Overpriced
Advantages of SE:
1. High Quality Camera's UI and Quality
2. Music Quality rocks!
3. Clean and crisp call quality
4. Great Earphones in the retail package
5. Reliable

I'm not a die-hard fan of SE or any brand for that matter, if u understood me very well, I like SE for some good features that I rarely see in other big brands like nokia and Samsung like the fluidity of SE's UI, the screen brightness and the advancement of its native browser(page saving and landscape viewing), camera and file management, and for Motorola(I know this souds protective) I like its intelligence in writting, the new Linux UI, minimising applications when receiving an SMS or a call where you'll resume from where u left and proceed and its default browser is advanced even on the old low-end phones like the V360 coz I could save pages for future reading without wap connection, oh and the screen brightnes/colour is adjustable. BTW if I was using my old V360 I could've finnished writting this post 5 times faster than with this Nokia 6234 I'm using for 2 years now. Nokia has lots of features (especially N-Series) but they don't work intelligently together. So there's really no perfect phone for me yet. To Striker I would say u r 1 of de few unbiased, intelligent, sober, sane people on this forum. Keep posting homies!!

Yet another boring rehash from SE. It will also be typically Sony Ericsson by being full of glitches and bugs and constant rebooting and freezing, and topped off with poor build quality.
Will they ever learn? It's no wonder their profits and sales are tumbling.
