I posted a comment earlier this evening to say that no wifi equals no sale as far as im concerned..... Just spoke to a Vodafone UK customer services rep and looks like it DEFINITELY DOES have WIFI. I spoke to TARA at the Warrington call centre...

That is a great feature for teenagers, i'd rather have other useful features like stereo bluetooth, copy-paste, modem, radio, flash support, MMS, replaceble battery, decent camera, real multi-tasking, etc ... you know ... those things lacking from iPhone. Still, if you dont need those maybe multi-touch can compensate for you.

why everytime a touchscreen phone comes they say it's competing with iphone? iphone is the only phone which has multitouch screen . nothing can compete with it without multitouch screen

The Storm will undoubtedly be sold through Verizon Wireless online and not in retail outlets for atleast a month after its release much like the Voyager last year. So don't waste your time going to any Verizon Wireless stores inquiring about the device. None of the employees will be willing to provide information on a device that they will not be able to benefit from.

I have a strong feeling that this phone will be the true rival of the iphone in terms of touch UI. I was never threatened by the Omnia or HTC HD Touch or even Nokia Tube or the G1 Android, but with this one, I have a strong feeling that it's really as good as the iphone, even better. We'll see.

"It will be sold exclusively by Vodafone in Europe and Verizon Wireless in the US. Telius in Canada will also be pushing the device to local customers."

er... That's TELUS. Drop the letter 'i'.

the reason it doesnt have wifi is beacuse thee handset will be vodafones flag ship for promoting data, unlimited data packages are going to be supplied with tarrifs for the handset, so it will promote the use of data through the Vodafone brand, were as wifi wouldnt. you will only loose out if your in a none 3g area, otherwise its 3.6-7.2mbps

a retail guy at the phone expo told me that the european version will have wifi, but not the american. So maybe it's possible to but it from a european online store when it comes out.
