it's not a smartphone (no decent operating system)

it's a... standard phone with full qwerty keyboard

Smartphone is a phone that enables you installing of 3rd party software and has advanced PIM and conectivity features. For example every symbian or windows mobile phone is considerd a smarthpone.

nice new feature to compensate all the other faults of this phone. this touch screen phone has such a delayed response by the time it reacts to your touch you've probably forgotten what you were trying to do in the first place! I switched to the Armani phone, much quicker response WAY Better quality, more durable (the prada phone is a cheap plastic) and the Armani is still to date the smallest and slimmest touch screen phone

It's a high end fashion designer branded phone, and as such, that's why the high asking price. However, is it worth it to most people? Probably not. I'll be getting a Nokia 5800 Tube for my touch phone needs and ignoring the "fashion phone" - I even work in fashion! LOL!

X1 alternative? pretty far from that...
X1 is a smart winmo phone. this is a fashion phone & will probably not be a smartphone.

It looks way nicer than the Xperia but that's the problem with LG handsets, most of the time they just LOOK nice and then 6 months down the road, little problems start occurring until the phone just becomes unusable a year after purchase. At least that's what happened with two LG phones I've owned in addition to problems a bunch of my friends who own them have with battery life, construction, etc.
