The main reason to opt android phone is the availabilty of millions apps on google play.

Android is a dead end and will simply disappear in a few years. Nokia was wise to stay away from that mess.

NOKIS hardware
+
Android OS
+
NOKIA user interface

The last one will ensure all the legions of former Nokia users will go back to their familiar brand. Not saying only sell Android. Samsung has WP, Android and for a time even their own Bada. But all used Touchwiz UI.

> In reply to ginger @ 2013-07-04 20:43 from t7xR - click to readhi ginger, your 100% right in your comment, but remember your speaking from a user point of view, speaking from a marketers point of view Nokia's sale's has crashed compared to what it was before. the symbian OS failed to improve over the years, they have less than 150000 appps most of which are very unuseful, the UI of the Symbian OS is too awkward, slow, not fully integrated into the system making it a bit difficult to use, this gave room for Android to overtake them. Now that 70% of to overall phones activated world wide runs on Android it would be very wise to have a line of phones i.e lumia-windows running on Android!! do you know that Samsung, sony had a couple of models that ran on Symbian? that's a marketers point of view... imagine Nokia 808 running on Android, lumia 925 look alike running on Android just as N9 and Lumia 800 did. that will turn Nokia's fortune's around...

> In reply to Fenil @ 2013-07-04 07:51 from U$4j - click to readare u crazy nokia has own uniqueness.

If nokia build a smartphone with android os i think it's not good because of nokia maps, city here, free navigation, nokia music and many more

its's better to use lumia 520 than to galaxy s duos because i have this 2 phone, the galaxy s dous has many apps and games are applicable but it's laggy and overheat even the RAM is higher than lumia 520,the lumia 520 it's so really impressive easy to use and unique apps and games and supersmooth.

people wake up for using android... Switchtolumia right now...
Now can't you believe it
try to buy it and believe it

Nokia is in business. Give what market wants rather than waiting for them to accept what you offer. Adapt change. Millions of Android users are not stupid. Go for multiple OS. Windows is just another os now. Android is happening. Why not firefox OS. I mean whatever works. But stick to your core values of best hardware and smooth UI.
With android and sturdy hardware Nokia can topple current leaders selling plastics.
Survive with change or perish with stubbornness.
Hard to see the leader becoming a bankrupt.
