oh c'mon - dont be so mean. lol
quad core or octa core - all used just to fight lag.
no android app uses all those cores anyways...
Nokia & Microsoft should see "TPM-VIPNI"
Finally windows phone coming to close to android by further one step.... If windows update faster then it can crack android.... They just have to launch the same specifications as that of flagship of android....
this device should also support dual sim

Same spec (hardware) from nokia priced higher than other competitor. That what i think in symbian era. Even today, say LUMIA. That's what you will think if you just look from the hardware. Dual core krait with 1GB ram (lumia820) for 500$?? WTF!! Even LG Nexus just 300$
But, after i know a little engineering, i change my view. just like i said in my previous post
Pricing is not just down to spec, but the whole product. Hardware, software, design, feature, etc
NOKIA really know how to optimise. Nokia Symbian, Meego, Asha are the proof :)
Know i like nokia, not fan BTW :D

If you look at everything you get both hard and software-wise then sorry its not overpriced. The fact that Apple's stuffs are overpriced is nothing new.
OK, I'll help you
It's not just the apps fault. It's the whole system.
True, android is the king in personalisation, nothing can achieve what android can do in this term. Lot of apps, lot of devs.
The main problem is the virtual machine called dalvik. it's very problematic. Positive side, you can easily build apps. The negative side, it's lag as hell
The other problem is, hardware and software are build in different place. So, the software cannot truly maximise the hardware potential and to achieve max experience, better hardware is needed. This problem is Windows PC main problem too.
The system that can achieve such experience is Apple made. IOS and Mac. Software and hardware were build in same house. Software is build for spesific hardware. So, software can max the hardware and the other way around.
The other system is meego. Old spec with very nice experience. So sad nokia kill it. It has the same pattern as IOS. Software max the hardware
This is what Windows trying to do. They code for spesific hardware. So they make some restriction for manufacture, which chip they can use, the size of screen, etc. It's for what they call OPTIMISATION.
Simple math and logic. How can manufacture build some optimise system IF the hardware is so many? the combination to find the optimal will be infinite.
To counter this problem, the only way is to have definite number of hardware combination so the software can be build.
Hope you understand
BTW, i'm once truly NOKIA and APPLE hatter, their product just overpriced. But after realize this, I change my view on them. oh sorry, this is not about nokia right? :D
and they said wp don't need quad core and more ram...
Finally, Windows Phone with quad-core processor. But still, less application catalog compared to Android and iOS.

You hear that Android hardcore fan boyz and girlz. I know reality can be harsh but face it now or face the consequences later!
We think just throwing more CPU power and RAM in hope it will make the Android experience smooth is our innovation.
-
We know there is actually a serious design problem with the JavaVirtual Machine, but we keep putting in higher specs in hopes we can hide it anyway.
-
We truely think laggy ,buggy and bloated up skins are the answer.
-
We don't like using our phones straight out of the box.
We think it's great we have to get ROOT access to delete half the crap we pretend we like.Like All our Samsung s-apps, Samsung store etc
-
and Along with 1000000's of others we are in the XDA forums looking for "seeder", "Trim" and "lag fix" apps. As we download our custom ROMs and Kernels every few days, or nightly like with Cyanogenmod because of the bugs & we don't mind half the features don't work properly as well, typical of Cyanogen's will fix it tomorrow style.
-
We say it's fun, it's only a reboot and factory reset every week to
keep the speed up, like it was on day 1.Because we know it laggzz over time anyway with the Dalvik cache issues...
-
And we like to pretend Jellybean really worked
as HTC Sense and MotoBur, TouchWhiz are of course
super buttery smooth with no complaints, yet for some reason Google started offering stock versions to try and regain a smooth user experience perhaps...
An android fan begs his knees in front of a Window's / Mac PC.
and yet they are proud of it!
Symbian ruled for a decade , ios is nearly dead copying wp8 and android...android now faces a competition to WP8
AnonD-83364, 13 Jul 2013Its funny how WP and its users say WP is fast enough and doesn't need quad core, but now here ... moreIf ur ugly Samsung can manage apps with a quad core then why it needs an octa core for background apps...simply bcoz its app "S-Lag" is yet in beta version...and would prob launch on the release of 64 core processor with 32" screen tearing ur pockets.
I think the reasons behind WP limitations is because it don't want to make it a PC replacement, simple tasks such as email attachments and downloading music has to make u reach out to your home PC to do it.
It's going to hurt the consumer PC sales even more but people want an all in one mobile device or even buy a cheap alternative such as the chromebook. Personally, I prefer to be looking and using another OS than the same windows at work.
i like this news very much but i prefer to launch some affordable one like grand or win with big screen and low price from nokia lumia
