HTC One mini goes official with 4.3It has been living in the rumor mill for a while now, but today HTC finally announced the One mini. No SD card slot, just a 4 MP camera, no OIS, years old CPU and GPU. Li-Po batteries are cheap and has poor battery life cycle. Old GPU and CPU. Otherwise everything is fine...

No SD card again. Denied on the spot for me. Shame. If it had one i was gonna buy it. Well. Have to wait for again for decent mid-range phone again. All the compaines are trying to glamour people with high specs, giant screens. No one thinks of us. One of these days someone will make a great phone without cutting essential features with a nice look it will be sold ou on the spot. Lets see who will that be.

This is bulky as a 4.7 inch phone.

This is what I think are the best specs for a mobile which is literally mobile (to carry mobile with screen measuring 5” or higher one should wear Hulk’s pants). I will definitely prefer this over Samsung mini S4 anytime.
HTC is the best.

After about 10 year, hope HTC can repeat the same glory as HTC Magician does with this new "Mini"

The middle number is more important than front when come to electronic hardware .

S400 is refresh of s4 play while xperia V is safely a s4 pro .

I am disappointed with HTC One mini. It should have had:

1- 1.7Ghz processor
2- 2000+ mah Battery (don't know if 1800mah Li-Po is enough)
3- Adreno 320.

Xperia ZR and Xperia SP seems to be a better option if you are willing to sacrifice aluminum unibody and the gorgeous S-LCD 2.

> In reply to BULA BENIS @ 2013-07-18 18:50 from pqyd - click to readWhy even htc one is a little larger than normal as a result of dual speakers. In the case of one mini it is more and is the size of one x plus which is a 4.7 inch screen phone. If they couldn't make one mini in a normal 4.3 screen phone's size, they should have avoided the dual speakers in the front. Instead put a good speaker at the back. Definitely the major flaw of this phone is the huge dimensions, then only comes the limited memory. If these two flaws were not there this would have been one of the best mid rangers.

> In reply to phoenix985 @ 2013-07-18 15:52 from Tj@r - click to readFrom what I have found, S4 mini has a width of 61.3 mm and has a 4.3" display. But if you see most other phone even with 4" displays have more width.
Here's a list.
4.3 inchers
Lumia 900 : 68.5 mm
Lumia 720 : 67.5 mm
HTC 8X : 66.2 mm
Samsung Galaxy S2 : 66.1 mm
HTC Sensation : 65.4 mm
HTC One S : 65 mm
HTC One mini : 63.2 mm
4.2" BB Z10 : 65.6 mm
4.0 inchers
Galaxy S : 64.2 mm
Lumia 520 : 64 mm
HTC 8S : 63 mm
Nokia X7 : 62.8 mm
Nokia E7 : 62.4 mm
HTC Desire V : 62.3 mm
3.9" Nokia N9 : 61.2 mm
3.8" Samsung Wave 3 : 64.2 mm
Even a 3.5" iPhone 3GS has a width of 62.1 mm.

I think we can safely adjudge S4 as being 'remarkably handy'.
P.S. I know that iPhone 3GS amongst others have a aspect ratio more anamorphic than S4 mini, but still the difference in width is stark.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2013-07-18 15:21 from Qy}W - click to readWhy yes you can, it's supposed to be smaller than the flagship, as in noticeably smaller. If the phone is meant to be large, then I'd prefer the space to be used on a screen, rather than wasted on speakers. The One S is cheaper, has a faster CPU, is smaller, has a slightly smaller battery capacity, and a far better camera. And it's cheaper. HTC are making worse phones as time goes by.

Which of the two is better :

And why does HTC not carry their branding forward with increasing versions nos. This phone should have been called One S2 or Sensation 3. Probably they might have thought it will be considered a lower generation phone by ignorant consumers as we already have Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5. But if you don't carry the branding forward how will you be on par with competition?
