6" Nokia Lumia phablet front panel pictured

6We've heard rumors of a phablet in the works from Nokia for a while now. Back in May we even saw a (blurry) glimpse of what appeared to be a large-screened Nokia device, expected to see the light of day as the Lumia 1030. This latest leak which supposedly comes from a factory floor in China...

If the PPI is atleast 300 or above that is more than enough for crisp viewing. The rest of specs will be the usual suspects. But it should not have a measly 2000mAH battery. Maybe it will be 3400mAh. There is room and size for that this being 6" phablet.

If it has a nice smaller scale Pureview tech that would make this an instant buy for me. Am not impressed with the Sony Z Ultra. The battery drain on that was horrendous in the early samples as shown on youtube.

Nokia took the widget and called it a tile and beat themselves in the chest how innovative they are.
Then with the v.8 they allowed for a much smaller tile, bringing their "innovative" interface to what Google had for years - a customizable array of icons and widgets.
Then they brought in notifications, again departing from their initial vision, to yet again copy the competition.
Now Nokia is departing from the huge and heavy plasticy unibody with this phablet.

Nokia/MS do not have to admit that they were wrong. Their actions prove it.

> In reply to iron-man @ 2013-07-25 16:32 from XuCJ - click to readIf there was not any Samsung, this ”phablet” would not be there, because Samsung invented and made popular this new range of devices! And this ”front” (not ”font” as in the title) looks very, very similar to the Android-powered Sony Xperia Z and, in some way, with Note II! So, shame!

Dell made the first phablet - Dell streak. Samsung just copied their idea. Nothing was ever invented in korea.
