Got the handset yesterday 27th, and have not been able to put it down, not had it crash once yet which is good for a WM device, one thing tho charged it yup fully last night and battery lasted approx 10 hrs before it needed a charge, hopefully just been using it too much and not a sign of things to come.
If you can afford it get one and stick two fingers up to your mate with the iPhone

Don't you people have nothing to post apart from the usual complain about the price. It should have a 8mp camera & so forth. When they do launch a 8mp then you people will say "Oh, it should have a 10mp!" There is no such thing as an end all & be all phone out there at the moment. Even if manufacturers can come out with one, they wouldn't simply because of size & cost constraints. There is no such thing as the best phone in the market. Every phone has it plus & minus points.
Do not forget every phone that a manufacturer launches into the market. It is targetted at a specific market segment. I must admit of late the market segment has not been so clearly defined & quite a lot of over lapping has occured. Last but not least the sole purpose of these phone manufacturers is to make profit. If not they wouldn't be here in the 1st place. Period.

Personally, I think that everyone who're crying about the price tag, are the kind of people who don't understand the potential of this kind of product and just want one to show off... Wining about, "Oh, it should have a 5 MP camara","I want it play DivX movies"... It's based on Windows, do some searching on the net and you will find almost for sure the software you would like to have on it... FOR FREE! It should have more memory, because the iPhone blah, blah, blah... That's why it has a memory slot for YOU to upgrade if you think the onboard storage capacity is to little.
For me, just the fact that it is currently the only quad-band GSM, tri-band 3G pocket PC with WiFi, GPS and other REALLY relevant stuff for true power users, makes it worth while. Is the price tag hefty? Of course if it was cheaper that would perfect, but as someone stated earlier, no one goes to a Ferrari, Lamborghini or even a Mercedes dealer and b*?&h about the price...
If you can't afford it, stop crying about it and at least admire it on a technical level for real business users and not wannabees and posers! Nuff said ;-)

this is a really good phone but it is very expensive it is rather expensive then the other pocket pc.s all other htc products are expensive but not like this one.this could be rather good if it has 8 mega pixel like samsung

The X1 would naturally be very expensive because it was made by HTC. Have you ever seen a cheap HTC product? & the OS itself, Windows Mobile, adds to the additional cost of the phone. WM costs much more than symbian or other phone OS's.

everyones right man, WTF goto the market and be like sh*t the Dimond and Touch Pro are way to expensive, might be better to get them when the Touch HD arrvies but no worries X is on the way.....and what 630Euros are you freakin insane SE? Get a PS3 for $350 and have enough for a N95..
