360Spider, 30 Jul 2013Windows phone runs smoothly with dual core. Android needs quadcore because of its lagness.windows runs smooth because it's empty. only tiles and app list and that's it. no icons, no widgets, no home screens, not even a wallpaper. crap
The OS holds it back.. ehh. It's a great piece of hardware though. I wouldn't make that sacrifice of going WP, even though I love that camera.
360Spider, 30 Jul 2013Windows phone runs smoothly with dual core. Android needs quadcore because of its lagness.Android need quad for good entertainment purposes, unlike WP which cannot even support HD MKV movies. Not for OS. Dual cores are already enough for the Android OS. Please know your facts.
Need a Nokia Droid Max. Why Nokia don't give us the option. Android for droid fanboy & lumia for WP fanboy
Boneshard, 30 Jul 2013The reason why Windows Phones have "mediocre" specs is because it is limited by it's... morei dnt knw actually why u need quadcore, when the os runs perfectly without any lag on a dual core...and the problem is if more cores more power consumption,
Windows phone runs smoothly with dual core. Android needs quadcore because of its lagness.
The problem with the NOKIA phones is there OS
Today the phone is only a platform for the apps
And on the w8 - there is less apps
The 1020 is excellent computer but not a usefull one!!!
Anonymous, 30 Jul 2013i would have bought this phone if the size was much smaller. Nokia stop building bricks! Look ... moreThis phone is not a brick. 10.4mm is not thick. You can't put a Pureview camera on a razor-thin body.
why should there be one famous best seller?Phones should cost less as they do a few months after their release because of the expensive marketing.Xperia z now cost 430 euros in europe and even if it offers style, specs and toughness it still doesn't have a decent battery to remove the fear of shutdown, that's the most importand feature to be promoted by all sites
Nokia is European taste, and I'm Asian. So, Go Samsung/LG/HTC/SONY and others, ( ha ha ha ha , Nokia is stingy )
Phone is good. But os is waste.
1.No home screen wallpaper only dark and light option, if they give home screen wallpaper option in pc y not in smartphones? We r not living in 1970s
2. When u choose shortcut setting u have to go inside to on and off whether it is 2g or 3g or location or wifi u can't directly on and off.
3.They should provide opera mini and opera mobile, still no opera mini.
4. Cannot compare with android. Android is best but android don't have best offline maps like nokia. But android better than window. Every application u will find in android.
I am die hard Nokia fan , and using windows phone 8 Nokia lumia , but Nokia you can never fight Against Android with wp8 ,,,, because wp8 still need A lots of work ,,,,, Nokia please you should talk to Microsoft , about Os , the wp8 need a lot of freedom first the lack apps games , browser need to be work ,
Nokia should go hardcore this time intel core i7 2.3 gz(faster than qualcomm snapdragon)2nd 1 inch sensor camera 3rd full hd 499 ppi 6 inch screen. 4rd 4000 mah battery life. I will see who is going to beat nokia hardware. If this is done is windows turn to keep up with android as it loses hands down to android in terms of apps.
I have seen how great 1020 is. Their camera n display is superb.i can't imagine if the full hd were launched. The only reason why nokia sales were failing is because the partnership with windows. Windows is superb os however their lack of apps makes nokia sales down.
Boneshard, 30 Jul 2013Mid range for Android but it's top of the line for Windows Phones...Hahaha... Android is Garbageee... Its the most inefficient, hack able, and fragmented OS.. In which google gives AWAY everything for free to compete. Time wont be so nice to this game plan. Cheers
The next flagship quadcore i7(recommended ) with fullhd 449 ppi 6 inch screen will be a blow to all nokia haters.
nokia should make a phablet with full hd screen 41mp camera with atleast 16X optical zoom and 35000 mah battery. Then nokia phones will be sold with windows OS also.
