> In reply to Fredrik900 @ 2013-08-03 18:01 from mEJS - click to readTo make it simple: Nokia was in decline way back in 2010 with their Symbian - Meego stuff... Nokia was throwing money for R&D for their Symbian - Meego, money they could not longer afford to spend for a stagnant OS.
Google won't allow other services beside their own, so if Nokia choose Android no Navteq, no Nokia maps, no Nokia music, etc... And no money from Google if Nokia is looking for support.

M$ supports Nokia with a lot of ca$h, not need for Nokia to develop a whole team to R&D for WP, that's the job for M$ (Agreed that M$ could do it better)
So in general terms, Nokia needs a powerful partnership to survive a fierce market like the mobile business, that same partnership that Nokia won't get from Google.

Amazingly nobody realize that ios is no 1 because compare how many phones and tablet s
(Including all Chinese ones) brands use only android, I think the comparation is not good done, put only 1 brand against apple and let see the results

Who rules in Nokia, maybe MS ? Nokia missed the right moment to join Android ? Better late than never...Nokia dont have a chance with Samsung ? So who else can have ? If WP would have any chance, MS should developed it much better before they published this system. Updates ? Who cares, the final product looked like a trial. Nokia suffering and paying for it, for MS policy. Today you cant simply buy the product of Nokia, you must decide to Microsoft product. Nokia decision depends on MS dependent.
Nokia experience, knowledge, resources were wasted. Nokia should abandon WP ? Maybe not, but they should have a choice, maybe produce phones with Android and with WP, why only with MS product, because their CEO worked before in...MS ? Nokia is used to promote one of many Microsoft product ? Nokia was the market leader, and now where are they ? Not even in the TOP 5 largest producers of smartphones. WP/Lumia series sales grow ? From what level, its not hard form 1 to 2%, 2 to 3%, its not hard when Elop killed Symbian and MeeGo, but it is not enough for Nokia.
Why Samsung could grow ? Because Nokia/Elop gave up and let them to do it when they resigned from Android. Nokia had a chance with Android, but they should start
with all other companies.
Windows 8, Windwos Phone, announcement of the new Xbox, Microsoft in mobile market fail, it not hate, decision should be in consumer hands not in Redmond. Only WP ? Nope. WP and other OS..yes. Phones like N8, 808, 820, 920 with MeeGo or Android ? Hell yes! :D

Well, we can't really compare Windows Phone to both IOS and Android, because the OS itself is still developing. However, I hope there are more useful apps for Windows Phone which I think will make Windows Phone better!

I use an Android phone. But to be fair with Apple, they get that small share since iOS can only be found with iPhones - just that single phone... that's it. Android OS certainly will get the biggest slice of the pie since there are more mobile phone companies who offers a veriety of phones. So if you're a consumer, you will certainly look further than just Apple which only has iPhone with iOS and most likely check out Android since you have the ability to choose the brand, type of phone, and specs based on your preference. Just my two cents. = )

> In reply to ISJ5 @ 2013-08-03 06:44 from UNA6 - click to readSeriously? You think that Windows Phone 8 and Symbian need lots of power to work well? In all reviews here and in phone arena they have clearly stated that the fluidness in Windowsphone 8 with dual-core is about the same as Android with Quad-core. Symbian? Well it worked somehow with around 400Mhz with no GPU and with 1.3 Ghz cpu with GPU damn well. But I'm using Android with 1Ghz single core right now and let me tell you it is not that bad. It all comes down to how well has the manufacturer made the os function with the hardware.

But actually this week just came new research which says samsung doing lot more money than before=galaxy series have sold more than ever.

So conclusion according to you, people pay too much for samsung products nowdays, right?
