Hybrid means: A double key pad. Numeric keys below and qwerty sideways. Triple slide means numeric keys below, media keys above and qwerty sideways ;)

> In reply to golden @ 2009-01-03 19:36 from mTd9"Half QWERTY" means a Blackberry-esque SureType-style keyboard where each key has two characters, i.e., "QW", "ER", "TY" etc.
My question is, what does the "hybrid QWERTY keypad" of the Terra mean? Is it the same as the half QWERTY?
Also, what does "Landscape candybar with QWERTY" of the Eitri mean? It has a full QWERTY keypad and a touch screen???
These descriptions are weird...

The N97 does sound more like Ivalo. But based on the release date it could be Etri. But Etri is only 8GB and has gestures recognition.
ROM is meant as the memory built into the phone. Used for programs, the OS, etc. It's not litteraly read only though. It's still accessible to the user for whatever they want.

I think the N97 more closely matches the "Etri" codename in the roadmap. Especially as they specifically mentioned the integrated compass linked to the "point and find" concept.

Looking at the recent announcements from Nokia and that roadmap, I come to the conclusion that things have been pulled in time with 3-4 weeks. I would say the IP08 is 5800 (lost its 5mpx), and the Ivalo is N97 (lost its FM transmitter). Of course it may be the other way around, things are pushed in time meaning IP08 is N97 (with additional 32GB) and we can expect a new device in Jan '09 that would be Ivalo. I would bet on the first one.

The N97 spec seems like Ivalo(3.5-inch wide touchscreen, 32GB ROM, AGPS, FM transmitter and receiver, 5MP camera, WiFi, TV-out, Bluetooth) more then IP08.

> In reply to boudz @ 2008-12-02 14:29 from MUbHbut Ivalo wis clearly mentioned to be released afterwards ...
A general Question - What would the 16 GB ""ROM"" contain??
I mean 16 GB Flash memory makes sense, but Read Only Memory ?? What's that used for here ??
