Samsung Exynos chipset to get another update - read the full textSamsung Exynos chipsets have been having somewhat of a rough time lately. First the Exynos 5 Octa 5410 couldn't deliver the Snapdragon-smashing performance everyone was expecting from it, while the refreshed 5420 version is yet to hit the shelves in the Galaxy Note III, but it has already been...

Everyone is complaining about the exynos, but i have a device with it and the Mali T628 is a beast. It performs better than some snapdragon 800, only a few snapdragon 800s in certain phones perform with a slight edge.

There are other MAJOR OEMs that you never heard of using Exynos chipsets. What makes u think that Sony or HTC are bigger than the Chinese OEMs? Samsung may not want to supply their AMOLEDS screens or Exynos chipsets to other OEMs so that they won't have short of supply for their own devices.

Stop arguing! Some people love their Androids. Others love their iPhones. We should stop caring about raw specs since they don't mean a everything in real life.
Having a Snapdragon doesn't mean you can say Exynos is bad and having a Exynos doesn't allow you to say Snapdragon is terrible.
What's the point in having all the processing power of the world in your smartphone when a Dual-Core processor would probably fit your needs?

I don't know man, if you're being paid by samsung or working at samsung company.. But stop banishing other brands like your brand is the perfect of all.. Every brand has their advantage and specialization on their product.. At least, every brand has try the best for its customers.. Will you learn to respect others?

Even MediaTek processors are better than Exynos ones. Samsung sucks as usual.

My only question is..... what's the point? What do they expect this exynos upgrade to ship on? Samsung isn't going to have a flagship with it. The Note 3s have their cpu already set, and I'm pretty sure they'll come out with another one before the S5 hits stores. As for other OEMs, how many actually use Exynos? a couple I've noticed, but none of the big guns.

Could this mean we'll see something else big from samsung this year?

No java, no good flash, no processing power, no multiple programs running, no high quality games, no full functional usb support, no speed or fast storage, no storage, no expansion.

The 20 Years OLD Desktop UI have far more productivity and function then that over eye candy live wallpaper crap called android.

If they're improving their chipset then it can only get better! What's the bloody point of arguing? Some people like their iPhones others like their Androids or their Windows Phones! Now days all three are pretty awesome and definitely worth having. Just enjoy them and quit arguing already!!!

> In reply to Wait a minute @ 2013-09-08 17:05 from vV5G - click to readQualcomm not even in million years to reach the powerhouse of Exynos, I know Exynos 5410 is unstable but still beats the heck of Qualcomm latest technology S800, Exynos 5410 at 1.6 GHZ has more power than Qualcomm 2.0 GHZ.
Now Exynos 5420 is stable and the victories will be continue, Exynos already beat Qualcomm in S1 and S2,Note I and S3,Note II and now Note III.

exynos 5xxx still inferior to support direct x a.p.i.

it is not developer best platform to render best looking games..
adreno gpu much much faster/ compatible with latest game..

even 16 core wont beat the dual core snapdragon.
