Aslam, 20 Sep 2013I don't think this phone will be called as 'Nokia Asha 500' because the model number "500... moreYeah you're right nokia 500 is a symbian phone (2011). i think this phone might be the android prototype if that's the case this one might be call nokia asha 500 (android version) or another name like nokia asha 506
well, the battery life of the 501 is insane. It's going to be the seventh day 12 hours from now. I haven't charged the thing since sunday when I fully charged it. I've used it for calls and texts, light browsing and Facebook once in a while but all in light usage. If you need a phone for just the basics, you can't go wrong with this one. damn! even the xenium phones can't go this far. I've had 3 of those already.
danishdhanshe, 20 Sep 2013Who even buys these things??People who need to text & call.
People who don't want to shell out a hefty sum.
People who want a trustworthy Nokia.
And the list goes on, but I have a feeling that your brain won't be able to process all this information in one go.
Jason, 20 Sep 2013Is this Nokia last non windows phone? No, Microsoft will keep making feature phones under Nokia brand. But there's a rumor they want to discontinue touch screen Ashas. Probably because they have more features than Windows phones.
