Oppo N1 official camera samples emerge - read the full textOppo turned a few heads today at its unveiling in China of the new Oppo N1, where it introduced a 13MP camera capable of rotating 206-degrees from front to back. This means that your front-facing images should theoretically be just as good as your rear-facing ones - it is one and the same camera...

I agree. Colors are indeed very vivid but dynamic range is really bad. Pictures are still good but not as good as the Lumia 1020 offers and to me this rotating camera seems like a gimmick. Why can't Oppo just fit a decent camera in the front? Suppose if someone is video calling you, it would take a little bit time for the camera to rotate or this type of things easily gets break.

http://www.versus.com/en/oppo-...a-lumia-1020

Oppo N1 has higher pixel density and the resolution is significantly higher. Nokia Lumia 1020 has brand lens, manual focus, manual exposure, and manual shutter speed, but if you don´t care that much about manual settings when taking photos with your smartphone, then these features are not that important...

It's not very likely to hit the ground top first. More often than not a phone falls edge, side or front/back first. Very rarely straight on top or bottom. It has to do with how it's normally held.

Even so, as the camera is a moving part, it would cause less damage to be absorbed.

If you accidentally drop this phone, it would be a nightmare. The rotatable camera would receive the worst damage.

Cool with this phone u dont need a tripod for group shot/ long exposures.. Just twist the camera upwards and lay it flat then use the remote.. I always wished for a diffuser in my n808 xenon flash because in close up the flash will blow the exposure away.. Good thing the 808 has the ND filter to counter though.. Don't know how with the 1020

its pretty ugly with that camera sticking out the top,and if you make a white phone dont make part of the front black that adds to the awful look of this phone...
