The phone isn't meant to be used underwater. The phone is just meant so that if its dropped under water its not going to break. It's only quoted to withstand 1 meter of water. Thats enough to cover a person just above their waist under most circumstances.

I wonder if King Triton got one of these??? Now marine life ain't free from SAR exposure anymore...great phone though & a great leap from my Ericsson R250s PRO & R310s.

It's not meant for scuba divers. I doubt you'd get any signal below a few meters anyway...
