Having a flexible display allows OEMs like Samsung to produce a fold-able touchscreen phone or a scrollable touch screen phone, you may watch the concept video presented by Samsung on CES 2013 on the link below.

People make me laugh, you all obviously don't do your homework or read other peoples comments explaining why flexible screens are very good innovation designs. Please read or do your homework before judging Samsung or LG! Or stop moaning and go play with your outdated icrap that comes with a magnifying glass.

Notwithstanding Samsung's YOUM advertisements which shows a phone with folding screen and a roll out screen, I think that for now this will be just a screen which can endure being slightly bent in your jeans pocket. Otherwise, still a standard slate phone. Gorilla Glass claims to resist some bending but the new screen will probably flex a bit more.

its easy to make a phone bend if the screen is flexible. just divide the phone into two parts separated by cables not necessary to have all the components flexible. you are not gonna make a roll out of the phone.
most imp. is the flexible lcd which is achieved means all the job done. thank you. rest of the job is just to arrange the unbendable parts here and there.

guys use brains... brains and more brains..

Most likely it will be something like a slider phone, the top part where is the screen could flexible, the rest of the phone will be like a normal phone. The motherboard and the battery can't be flexible.
