Touchscreen Nokia N97 is the next step ahead with full QWERTY

Touchscreen Nokia N97 is the next step ahead with full QWERTY - read the full textThe Nokia N97 is most definitely one of the most loaded N-series devices out there, but that's not it's all about. The N97 is the first high-end device powered by the latest touchscreen Symbian S60 OS. And if the 3.5-inch touchscreen display is not enough for you, you can always slide-and-tilt it...

> In reply to Expert @ 2008-12-02 11:35 from M3gi - click to readI forgot that in this forum there are always people like you that with no reason insult the others that have a different opinion. Did you see any insults on my reply?? No, of course not, that makes me a more mature person than you are, poor you.

Anyways, you are right about what you are saying. Firts of all I love the iPhone but these guys from Apple are always placing limitations on their products and for a really high price. Second, I love Samsung Omnia, but I don´t like WM OS. So I´m a Nokia lover and always well be. Do you really think this is their last phone?? Negative, wait and see. I´m sure they will work on the OS to make it fast and fashionable, and user friendly.

Be sure that if Apple takes out all limitations on the iPhone and put a better camera on the back( at least 5megapixels), i may consider buying their next Phone. In the meantime, Nokia Rocks and always will be.

So lets see in the future.

My best regards to you,

Nokia.

this is a class of it's own. 16 M colors touch screen. definitely an xperia killer. only thing i don't like is the keyboard. let's just hope this phone won't lag as bad as xperia x1.

Looks like iPhone from the front. Like a TyTN II coz the screen can be bent. 32GB of internal mem., somehow invites a worry if a damage happens sometimes. For overall, N97 is cool! But X1 is cooler!!

> In reply to Sean @ 2008-12-02 11:36 from YcWn - click to readPlease be definitive in your criticism. If you are a teacher i don't think any student will record a distinction in your subject. What type of design, specs, etc do you expect from NOKIA? You are very wrong when you are using the same design, specs, etc. I disagreed with you and likewise other opinion posters in this GSM ARENA.
Always try as much as possible to use the Principle of Economics in posting your comment in all areas of life. Nokia remains the best mobile product in the whole world in terms of durabilty, easy use, functionality, video, email, etc.

nice phone. average specs. can do better.
This is prob a market strategy to release a high-end device with average specs.
I'd reckon there will be an improved version of this
touch device, maybe (8-meg, xenon flash, more rams, better design and hopefully a windows os)

> In reply to E90 owner :) @ 2008-12-02 11:35 from mMA9 - click to readThere's QWERTY and host of features there on paper already, enough for it to be or better than the Communicator I'm sure? Plus it's coming on q2 2009 so still enough time for specs' revisions.

> In reply to James @ 2008-12-02 11:34 from m1EH - click to readIt's not about specs in my book.

Basically, it's about offering the user something functional and easy to to operate.

A phone should never be about what has the most power, the ability to crunch the most numbers or the most megapixels.

Apple has given people a phone that allows them to do basic phone functions and browse the net. It's very simple which is why it has sold millions!
