AnonD-44714, 15 Oct 2013downgrade from 8 core s4 to 6 core s5?your not reading the article properly it says octa core
Exynos 6 is 6th gen of exynos
currently we are at exynos 5
I've serious doubts abt. this 14nm technology. Anyone who has little knowledge tech. knows that this is really hard and no one in the market has done that so far. Even, Intel is at 22-nm now. So, either Samsung provide more details or this is really a dubious claim.
downgrade from 8 core s4 to 6 core s5?
Dear Samsung : Even if you put a Ferrari Motor based CPU into a mobile, it will always lag after a while with your ugly bloated Touchwiz Skin on top - A dual core Galaxy Nexus feels more fluid and smooth than an S4. Good day.
Its good news but it would b better if they r made lte-a compatible and 4k video recordable and also universally available
AnonD-121494, 15 Oct 2013lolwut. Which technologically deficient world are you living in? Smartphones now are about pow... morePower and function? For what? To drive an efficient operating system and perhaps camera gadgets? Play games and watch movies? Is that the great leap forward in technology you are talking about. Screens? These are incremental gains, and with no great leap forward. These high specs add little or no value to the knowledge base or practical and useful software. Apps you say. Well 5% of apps have 95% of the market and the rest are useless. So where is this power and technology you are talking about actually translating into massive gains. Oh, marketing and sales. Buy the S5 at a premium and you might find a SIII does 98% same every day real usefulness and at one third of the cost. And that is for real. Games? go and get a life man. Of course well done to Samsung, as always, but where is the real great gains.
What's the point having an upgrade Exynos or Qualcomm CPU or 64-bit support when the battery technology is still stone-age.
This is a very power efficient CPU. :)
No LTE-A...do not care
AnonD-58835, 14 Oct 2013Sammy please upgrade the external design of the S5 phone to a business phone. Make it high end... moreI agree we need some design in these boring monoblock slabs.
z, 14 Oct 2013keep copying samesung. Copying is normal, mate. Even your favorite brand copy, too.
Your news feed from last week said Samsung is going to launch new prestige phone called Galaxy F, now this news coming to light is coinciding with said release date for "new phone" so could this be actually specs for a new F range and this news about S5 just a gimmick to throw everyone off track???
AnonD-121494, 15 Oct 2013lolwut. Which technologically deficient world are you living in? Smartphones now are about pow... moreIt's not a fashion statement? Millions of iPhone owners with hello Kitty and bling-bling covers would disagree
Now that's great! Hopefully with 4gb ram and better battery life.
z, 14 Oct 2013keep copying samesung. Copying what? Natural progression? So you mean these computer processor manufacturers copied each other by each making 64bit processors? Why have I never realized this before? You must be some kind of genius!
AnonD-175158, 14 Oct 2013Samsung, Samsung, Samsung….. they can only show how many cores they can pack etc….. useless in... morelolwut. Which technologically deficient world are you living in? Smartphones now are about power and function, looks come in after. It's not a fashion statement, it's a state of the art piece of technology.
AnonD-175158, 14 Oct 2013Samsung, Samsung, Samsung….. they can only show how many cores they can pack etc….. useless in... moreSo in other words you want a prettier phone and have no idea about Samsung phones, hardware, software, or practicality.
I hope this new Exynos processor isn't a disappointment like the Exynos 5. The so called octacore-battery-saving processor turned out to be even worse than the Snapdragon 600
AnonD-19153, 14 Oct 2013They're already trying to fit the biggest battery on the smaller body For example :
S4 smalle... moreThe 14nm exynos cpu is rumored to be sporting a sextuplet (6 core) processor.
What are the pros and cons of using silicon technology for the battery as opposed to Lithium ion?
Anonymous, 14 Oct 2013I agree! It would still be nice to have a nice sized battery, too. :)They're already trying to fit the biggest battery on the smaller body For example :
S4 smaller than HTC One
But S4 have bigger battery
.
I wish they get to use
1- Silicon Battery
2- 14nm CPU (Quad-core)
3- Low Power advanced display
4- less bloat-ware to less the background battery eating tasks
